[Huh? I was waiting for Blake to actually leave......oh....he had talked to Rashinnu, I never noticed that....ummm.....awkward.....I never noticed to the word "phoenix".....wow..I honestly think this was the biggest rp fail I have ever made...]
Rashinnu was quietly seething as she waited for the human to get out of here. She had wrapped her talons very tightly around her perch and there was a slight cracking noise coming from it on occasion as a result. This sound and her eyes were the only things that were showing her irritation however as she was trying to remain dignified for the other members of the donminiorum.
It was then that the explosion shook the chamber and already weakened perch snapped clean off the wall. The phoenix had been briefly startled by this, but had recovered almost instantaneously in order to glide down to the floor with the broken perch still held in her talons. It was then that the human had chosen to to actually speak to her. Rashinnu was less then amused, but to keep Vastator happy, did actually reply. "One of the others."
She then flew off down the stairs to go see for herself what had happened.

[You are not being rude as I AM having a fail streak. *headdesk repeatedly.* Anyway let us hope for the sake of my skull that that was my fail steak's last hurrah.]
Rashinnu hovered in the air as she took in the sight and then just shook her head. Clearly someone had screwed up and in a significant way. Figuring that it would help the god's opinion of them, she decided to help with the repair.
First she carefully examined the undamaged parts of the tower in order to get an idea of how the pieces fit together. She she flew back to the pieces that had been brought back and needed to be beaten back into shape. She then started to breathe fire on one piece to make it more malleable, then got to work using her beak and talons to beat it back into a rough semblance of what it was supposed to be. She then left it for the repair squadron to finish as you could only go so far with talons and a beak. Rashinnu then moved to another one and continued the process.

After several hours of continuous repair, the deed was finally accomplished. The tower seemed to be as good as it was before the incident, an incident which Obscuro had not forgotten the cause for. He quickly made his way in front of the war-god Cruentum, slapped him in the face with his wings, and put him on guard duty. You'd think this is a job that Cruentum would relish, no? Wrong - this tower is almost never attacked, so this will be incredibly boring for him. The war-god sulked off, practically fuming. He never did like Obscuro anyways, and this merely deepened their dislike for each other. Interitia was cackling as she usually does when this happens (yeah, this has happened before), and Arrogantium huffed at the departing Cruentum as he flew back off to his room, no doubt to groom himself after all this. Soon after, Obscuro flew to Rashinnu, looking rather sullen over this whole ordeal.
"You'll have to excuse Cruentum, he's a god of war and battle after all. He's highly prone to loosing control while training, in fact he trains himself to gain better control. This has happened several times before, so be not surprised if you see this incident repeated over your tenure."

[Edit: Ok it ended up being a 4 day vacation and I didn't get back till late last night. Posting now.]
Rashinnu sighed with relief once the work finally ended and shook her head. She really hadn't enjoyed doing such menial labor and gave Creuntum a sour look for it as he left. Then the dark phoenix turned her attention to Obscuro.
"Perhaps he should train outside or at the very least in a new building not connected to the tower. I am pretty sure that none of us would like having the tower fall down on us as this had been a close call."
Of course she had an especially good reason for not wanting the tower to fall since if it did, it would crush her egg. Phoenix eggs were pretty durable, but not that durable.

"We've tried to make him leave for other areas off-world to do what he does, but he insists on staying with his troops unless there's some large-scale battle going on out in other universes. As if now, there IS one, but Vastator himself is in charge of it. We will look into building a structure for him, however."
His grimaced for a split second, having just realized something he'd forgotten. Yeah, the egg.
"Worry not for your egg, this is still a rather rare occurrence. It should be fine, as long as you keep your wits about you."
With that, he flew off to the tower once again, still muttering curses under his breath over this ordeal.

Light crawls it's way through the window as the sun tries to wake up from the last day it had brought with it, and a small alarm echoed through the halls of the Patchwork Lab... Followed by a light groan. Stein moved his hand to the side and picks up his glasses, sliding them on so he could turn off the alarm and sit up. His eyes glance around the nearly-empty room and then back to his clock. It bore the usual Stein Stitches around it, and red numbers that read the time as 6:15 AM. He rubbed his head and stood up from the bed, cracking nearly every bone in his body as he stretches, before walking down the hall to the main room. His feet had that normal 'just woke up' drag to them, and he goes to the kitchen to get an apple. After taking a few moments to eat his apple, he noticed some kind of strange-looking shadow. His hand slowly went to reach for a nearby knife, but he stops and shakes his head. "Just seeing things again, I'm sure.." he mumbled under his breath, and stood back up. His feet drag some more, shuffling through the halls. After a quick shower he picked up the pace, putting on cleaner clothes and trying to get the blood stains out of his lab coat-- before giving up as usual. Things had been strangely silent to him since his weapon partner had found a new place to live, not to mention he had nearly dissected her and put some fear into her. She had definitely tried harder to find a new place, and avoids him whenever she can. He still felt quite guilty about that, but was currently going to be late at that rate. He drags his desk chair to the door and starts to walk.
It was about an hour before he reached the steps to the academy and started to make his way up the nearly-endless stairs, skipping at least three at a time. He's been doing this for years now, the same thing every time, usually some students lingering on the 40th step or so. He approaches the top and stops for a quick breath, but then resumes walking. He walks towards his classroom. It's the same thing every day, he thought idly, his one hand reaching up to turn the screw that was lodged in his head, his other hand still dragging his desk chair along. Why can't something interesting happen... Hm, maybe I should ask Spirit-senpai to find a Kishin to fight. he walks towards his classroom, sits outside the door, and lights a cigarette as he awaits his students.

Amongst the crowds that Stein likely saw on his way to the academy, strange figures obscured by shadows could be seen... silhouettes which seemed, in plain terms, wrong. This seemed to be tied into the fact that the atmosphere this day seemed extremely tense, giving the impression that something quite odd was going on. It didn't help matters that once students started arriving, most of the talk among them was filled with remarks about a recent rash of disappearances. It was being thrown around that it seemed that whoever went missing just ceased to exist entirely, as they would never reappear, ever. Any time remains of victims were found, however, they were impossible to identify due to the fact that they had been reduced to naught but disgusting piles of gore, with blood everywhere. Almost as if they had been ground up. Doubtlessly, many were having nightmares over this whole debacle. In fact, Stein may notice that his students number less than usual today, mainly weaker ones who are likely unimportant background characters being strangely absent. And given how there are at least a scant few of those silhouettes romaing around the academy as well...you probably get the idea.
He glances from student to student, mentally counting them up in his head as he usually does, though there are normally more students. Disappearing students.. Strange shadows in the lab... That can't be good.. Some of my students are gone as well.. What's going on.. he couldn't help but wonder this, and nearly forgot to follow his students in. His lesson was all set up, though his students would at least be relieved that it wasn't another dissection. He stretched a little and began his class the normal way, telling everyone to quiet down and sit in their seats, explaining what they would learn, all of that. He's sure a few have already started to doodle in their notebooks, and gives a quiet sigh before he continues to teach. His eyes were somewhat tired, mostly just tired of all the normalcy that surrounds him. Same students, same students who have probably skipped --meaning Black*Star--, same lecture length. It's driving him crazy. He cracks his neck at some point, turning the screw again as he looks among his students to answer a question he had asked. "NO ONE knows what would happen if I used my Soul Wavelength to hit something metal?" he sighs with disappointment. "It would either shatter or dissolve, depending on how I alter my soul..." his eyes narrow with boredom. "Does anyone want me to test this?" a quick scowl crossed his face as he saw some bored-looking students passing a note. "Or would you rather talk behind my back?" he adjusted his glasses and angrily glares at the students. "I will dissect you" he menaced, and they drop the note and look down. He sighs.
After class was over he pulled the usual students back in for a bit of extra time studying, and afterwards sat back to take a break. Why is it always the same students... he lit a cigarette, staring at the ceiling.

At this time, the owners of the strange shadows finally made themselves known. Three large demonic beings that seemed to have been severely burned to the point that their skin as black and bleeding appeared, each with large voids in place of eyes with tiny points of violet light shining from within. Each had a large pair of wings that seemed to be heavily decayed, and black clouds spewed from their mouths when they opened them. Their heads were bedecked with horns, and furthering their disturbing appearances, all of them were completely naked. One of them appeared to be female, as well. The lead being closed a bit more distance to Stein than the others did, and made a sweeping bowing motion.
"This is the DWMA we've been sent to investigate, eh? A rather motley crowd here. I assume you're among the staff here."

He immediately grabs a scalpel from his pocket and stood, pointing the sharp edge towards these creatures. "Who are you?" he asked, in a very calm manner, though his head was now racing with thoughts. What are those things... his mind starts to file their information into memories, the smallest details even making it there. He kept staring at them, not wavering, his eyes hidden by the glint of his glasses. The scalpel shines silvery in the light as he pointed it at them, his other hand in a fist, this seems like some kind of stance, but it wasn't too hostile. He doesn't know if these things want to hurt his students, or if they have something against Shinigami-sama or what. He glanced at all of them, keeping his eyes mainly above the neck now, but he kept an eye out for anything suspicious. Hopefully they wouldn't attack him, though he is definitely in the mood to dissect something, and these things look like perfect specimens.
Nick was sitting up in a tree, his katana Reaper on his lap. He was stretched out like a black panther on his branch, surveying the world from his vantage point.
His senses were sharpened these days; stories of grisly murders had reached his ears, one of them hitting very close to home. His brother had been one of the stories in the paper and on the news.
He studied his katana blade silently, running a finger along the deadly steel and drawing a thin line of blood. He wanted to know what was going on so he could maybe do something about it... But what could he do? 100 pounds soaking wet wasn't exactly something that could take on an army.
That's what he thought, anyways.

"You could say that we are from nowhere at all. We are beings linked to the nothingness beyond the cosmos, the nothingness of which we serve. We come here on orders, sent to scout your universe for our master. We heard of this place during are stay in this world, and decided to investigate."
The leading thing's attention focused on the scalpel in Stein's hands. As a precaution, he nodded to the two behind him, and they manifested an axe and a shortsword, respectively. They still seemed to be waiting however, even backing up slightly. The leader manifested a weapon as well (not as in a being that can morph into a weapon, these are merely inanimate objects...which happened to channel Void power), a pair of spiked, black metal knuckles. But once again, there were no actual advances - they went to lengths to make it clear that these were mostly precautionary measures.
"So, now you know a bit of us. What of you?"

He slowly lowers the scalpel and carefully slips it into his coat pocket, taking a quick drag on his cigarette to let out a puff of smoke. "I am a part of the staff here, as you wondered... My name is Professor Franken Stein.. Why are you here?" the information he is willing to give doesn't seem like much, he's just not sure he likes what he had wished for. That wish came true too soon and with too much risk. His mind just keeps collecting data that they gave him, their weapons, their movements, everything was filed away into his mind and stored there for later use. He kept one hand in his pocket though, just in case something were to happen. I could really use Spirit-Senpai's help with this one.. he thought. Wishful thinking.
[Managed to come up with something}
Rashinnu calmly flew over Interitia and landed in front of the Goddess of Fear/Torment. She spread her wings and offered a avian bow before making her request. "Great one, might I ask for the honor of being your student in the art of torture? I vow to be a diligent student and willing to do almost anything you ask, the sole exception being to bring any kind of harm to my egg or chick when it hatches. I wish to be more effective in making my enemies wish they had never met me."
Rashinnu then waited for the answer, while also being ready to move in an hurry just in case. After all, dropping your guard in front of an evil goddess could very well be the last mistake you ever make.

((I think the future of this RP is in serious doubt as of now.
I've lost my drive for this one as time has gone by, the problem not helped by the fact that many previously involved have seemed to drop out of it all. I've no idea if this RP can even be completed by this point, even. I'll make one last push, starting with my next IC post...but if two weeks pass by and activity in this thread hasn't picked back up, then I shall declare it dead and gone.
Dear lord, it's turning into Shrouded In Darkness (my first-ever RP here, which met this very fate) all over again...))

The giant, spider-shaped abomination against all natural law seemed to be slightly shocked at first, and remained quiet throughout Rashinnu's speech. She soon began to carefully consider whether or not this could be worth the trouble; after all, this goddess...thing doesn't like to have too much competition, and Vastator himself was an ample provider of such.
"I appreciate your choice of mentors, as there is no finer choice in this craft. However, I will need time to decide whether I should teach you or not. I'll have decided by tomorrow at the earliest, but do not count on it."
She crept along the ceiling back into the deep recesses of her own abode here in this tower, likely to continue her considerations.
