Cepheis, a strange and wealthy hold in the prosperous nation of Canis Majoris that's most famous for the Cult of Kirai, a strange group of necromancers that are bent on reviving the one they believe is the true ruler of Canis Majoris. This group used to primarily keep to themselves and very rarely left their home in northeastern Cepheis, the nightmarish temple known as the Sanctuary of Nightmares. Within the past three years, their activities have become most worrisome, rather than just sacrificing their own cult members and the forest critters that mistakenly wandered close to them, these people have begun kidnapping civilians in the nearby cities, most often in the nearby Hydon and what's more disturbing is the fact that the majority of these people are government officials. Witnesses claim they often hear the cult members shouting strange, violent messages towards the nation's reigning royal family.
Their motives aren't clear yet, but it seems they're looking to take out the royal family and place their revived lord, the one infamously known as the Sorcerer of Bhhullitu. This strange person was considered to be the first necromancer in all of Majoria and was imprisoned and supposedly executed for developing this deadly and ungodly form of magic. However, she developed a cult following filled with many of the nation's aspiring mages felt this was wrong and unjustified, so they began working on figuring out a way to revive the one they revere as their king with the only way they knew how, they began planning on assassinating the reigning royal family. Rumors of this have begun spreading throughout the country and they eventually reached the ears of the king who sent out a decree for a group of six mercenaries to work on taking out the leader of the cult.
Unfortunately for the six mercenaries, they arrived too late. The Dark Sorcerer had returned and has begun their plan to enact revenge on the nation that unfairly punished the necromancers...
Where will you stand? Will you fight for the king like you ordered or will you be persuaded and join the Dark Sorcerer?
While normally I'd encourage people to use their own characters, I'd like to try an RP with character sheets and some dice rolls. While it won't be D&D, it won't be freeform combat and writing.
Combat will be determined by dice rolls determining the outcome. One dice with six sides, using even numbers for a success in battle, while using odd numbers for failure in battle. I'll explain more once I've gotten everyone together for the RP.
The more detailed a profile, the more likely you are to be accepted for the RP.
This is a simple roleplay that'll take place in a high fantasy, Industrial Revolution world. As expected, the plot will eventually become combat heavy and will feature some dark themes such as suicide, racism, bigotry, and prejudice, and abuse, so be warned. The world is most comparable to an industrialized Skyrim; you've got dragons, magic, elves, fairies, and various fantasy races, but will also contain technology comparable to the United States in the early 1900s. Trains, early automobiles, early guns, and radios exist.
Realize that if your character is a non-human race, they will have a difficult time. Non-human races are considered to be second class citizens and often receive treatment like minorities did in the United States in the 1950s.
I'd like at least one paragraph per post. While romance is allowed and isn't necessarily discouraged, don't let it take over the purpose of the plot and realize that it'll likely be difficult to obtain due to the heavy combat scenes and near constant travel among the group. I'd prefer no more than six people to join the RP. Reply down below or PM me with any questions you have.
I will be using Roy and the Dark Sorcerer. Both were made specifically for the plot.

Question, do we choose a class, and a magic class, or just one?
Well, in case we do choose both, I suppose I will make my character sheet!
Name: Sage Akuma
Race: Demon
Age: Around the 18 to 20 range
Class: Assasin
Personality: Malicious, unhinged, unpredictable, and oddly split personalities
Appearance: Average height of around 5'8, gaunt build, pitch black skin, slightly protruding fangs, pupiless gloaming eyes, dark cloaked clothing, and wild raven hair
Hometown: Kansasias, Tower of Chaos
Background/History: Sage was an orphaned shadow demon, and due to their violent, dangerous nature, she was cast into the infamous Tower of Chaos. Unfortunately, instead of eliminating her as a threat, she grew into a demon of rage and hatred, only able to reflect what was shown to her. The product of her years of isolation was not only many a scar, but a monster worth avoiding at all costs. In the end, it would have been better for them to have slain the child, or have shown her some kindness, instead of hate.
Since the abandoned Tower of Chaos is her only home, and she is presented with little to no interaction, she tends to stick there, though any invaders get no warnings from her sick, but effective stealth kill methods. She is inhumanly fast, and full of cunning, but in physical strength, she is lacking, and sticks to daggers, throwing knives, and twin swords. Pain is a dulled sense for her, though she can still feel it. If faced with losing, she may flee inside the tower she knows best, but once cornered, her efforts are redoubled, and she will not flee again. Her defense is rather weak due to her weakened pain receptiveness, and can lead her to not acknowledging mortal injuries until it's too late. This said, she will fight longer than most. She is responsible for multiple murders and small group kills, and is ignorant to most of the outside world. She is well versed in Shadow Sorcery, but if she doesn't eat sufficiently, her stamina is noticeably lower.

You can have multiple magic classes; but in order to use magic your character must be a paladin, sorcerer, or cleric.

Looks good! I look forward to starting this with ya.
So should I take out the dark sorcery for Sage, or leave it due to her race?
Sorry I didn't wait for your response, I didn't want to get beaten by a first comer.

If you want her to be a dark sorcerer, go ahead. (I'll make an exception to the rule for my favorite Keaton)
But, just take into the fact that being both a demon and a dark sorcerer, she will likely receive very unfair treatment from the other characters.
Dark sorcery is considered a poison in Canis Majoris while demons are treated like second hand citizens, so just keep that in mind.
But, regardless, your character is wonderful.
I'm aware that she will be treated this way, and it drives her hatred and violence more, like a deadly cycle. Adds more depth you know?
And shinx ^-^

This'll definitely be a fun addition to the story.
I've got a few side characters that'll be tossed into this to add some stepping stones to the group here and there, so hopefully this lasts for awhile.
Yeah!
I see great potential for this Rp! Hopefully other people hurry up and join already...

I'm gonna be using two versions of the same character
Character Sheet 1 (This Phoenixheart is from an alternate version of Majoria. My reasoning for her being in the regular version of Majoria is that she had mistakenly found herself there through the island of Hanshu.)
Name: Phoenixheart
Race: Phoenix
Age: 19... maybe
Class: Assassin/thief
Personality: Deceitful, cunning, cruel, adventurous, almost kind at times
Appearance:
Height- 4'11"
Weight- 121 lbs
Build- Athletic
Complexion- Slightly tan
Hair- Bright red, long
Eyes- Focused and cold, one green and one red regularly, will glow crimson red when her darker soul is in control and dark green when her lighter soul is in control
Handedness- Left
Scars- Many small ones dot her body, a long thin one courses down her right forearm
Description- Phoenixheart generally wears a black formfitting shirt with similar colored and fitting jeans and boots. She also wears a black cloak to cover her face. Her long red hair is often put up in a braid. These clothes have many compartments for her to hide various knives and daggers in, giving her the illusion of being able to draw weapons out of nowhere. She is usually the one to throw the first punch in battle. She is fairly fast and hard while striking, but has low defense. She also tires out after a long while, causing her movements to become rather predictable.
Hometown: Unknown
Background/History: Not much is known about this assassin's early years. There are rumors that she had been born of the goddess of phoenixes herself. Though if anyone asks her about it, she just brushes it away without confirming nor denying the rumors. However what is known about her starts when she had just mysteriously showed her face one day. She immediately took to taking on the work of an assassin and will sometimes even slaughter those who just happen to come too close while she is doing her 'work'. She quickly earned the nickname 'The Redheaded Demon' because of this. She didn't seem to care about anyone or anything aside from herself and money. To this day, she continues to wander the area, looking for more jobs to take on. She also tends to steal things, which has gotten her in trouble on more than a few occasions.
Character Sheet 2 (This is the Phoe that lives in the regular version of Majoria)
Name: Phoenixheart Hiro
Race: Phoenix
Age: Physically 19, actually 38
Class: Cleric (Fire Sorcerer)
Personality: Family oriented, adventurous, kind, sweet, closed off and broken when separated from her family
Appearance:
Height- 4'11"
Weight- 121 lbs
Build- Slightly athletic
Complexion- Slightly tan
Hair- Bright red, long
Eyes- Soft, kind, one green and one red regularly, will glow crimson red when her darker soul is in control and dark green when her lighter soul is in control
Handedness- Left
Scars- Right forearm, abdomen
Decription- Phoenixheart has a variety of outfits, but generally wears a teal backless dress with an orange flame pattern at the bottom or a backless shirt ot tank top with a skirt or pair of shorts. For some reason, the shirts and tank tops have 'Wonderful Waifu' printed on them. In cooler weather, she is prone to wearing an orange coat to keep warm. Her hair is often braided or in a ponytail and is a bright red color. She is a rather short and fairly thin and lithe person, her short height allowing her to be a bit dwarfed by most people, most specifically her husband. Her eyes are a soft and kind red and green, though there are still some vague traces of a previously sad and broken girl if one were to look close enough. She has two scars, one located on the underside of her right forearm and another on her abdomen, though she is likely to push away questions about them, not because she is embarrassed about them, but because those are stories she likes to keep close to her heart.
She is fairly skilled in hand-to-hand combat and can hold her own into the wilderness, mostly due to living in a forest for the majority of her life. She is fairly quick and hard when striking, though her defense is pretty low and her movements can get fairly predictable after a while. She also can tire out fairly quickly and her movements slow considerably as her energy drains. She also isn't very skilled with ranged weapons and prefers to get close before striking.
Prior to meeting her future husband, Phoenixheart was a very timid and closed off individual. Being captured and experimented on had broken her and turned her into a shell of her former self. She had confined herself to her forest and library, scared to venture any further out of fear of being discovered and getting captured again, though she did long to be able to see the world. No one really knew of her and that was the way she liked it; a solitary life where no one could hurt her ever again. Her forest and library were like her anchor. That all changed after meeting her future husband. After meeting and falling for him, the walls she had built around her heart slowly fell away and she started to repair the broken girl she was with his help. She became a less timid and more loving individual thanks to her husband and children. Despite this, she is still prone to breaking and closing off whenever her husband or children are in danger. She is extremely protective of them and will stop at nothing to see them safe.
Hometown: Hydon, Canis Majoris
Background/History: Phoenixheart is a 'young' phoenix woman who was created from the ashes of twin phoenixes. She is a very unique phoenix as it is rare for her type to ever be created as the phoenixes need to have a strong bond and have their ashes mix in order to create her kind. What is also unique about her is that she somehow still retained the souls of the two phoenixes that created her and trying to separate the souls will essentially turn her into a soulless husk unless they are reunited. She lived in the forest that she was created in for eight years until she was sadly captured by a group of scientists who had a hatred for non-humans. They ran many horrible tests on her, slowly breaking her and turning her into a timid, scared, and shy little girl. Luckily, she managed to escape after two years and burn down the facility, but not without the help of her darker soul and unknowingly hurting many people.
After escaping, Phoenixheart had miraculously found herself back in the forest that she had lived in before being captured. She had also found a library that her two souls used to live in, though that was unbeknownst to her. After discovering the fairly hidden library, she realized the safety and comfort of closing herself off and hiding from the world and confined herself to the library and surrounding forest. She continued this way of life, somehow avoiding passerby in the forest until the age of nineteen when she met someone who would have a profound impact on her life in the future. Upon meeting this mercenary, her heart slowly began to change from the closed off girl she was into someone a bit more open.
As her and the mercenary started traveling together, she began to slowly fall for him. Upon helping him complete his ring, the mercenary confessed to her and Phoenixheart managed to find the courage to come out and tell him what her heart felt, glad that the feeling had been mutual and the two continued traveling together for a while longer. Phoenixheart soon began developing a dependency on Kyoya, feeling distressed if the two were separated. After realizing that Kyoya was the one she wanted to spend her life with no matter what it took, she decided to go along on a journey to obtain the legendary Eternal Feather in hopes of obtaining eternal life with him.
Just days prior to completing the task at hand, Phoenixheart was proposed to by Kyoya. After many joyful tears between the two, their fate together was confirmed. Upon returning from the island, Phoenixheart and Kyoya settled into Kyoya's family's old cabin and soon became the parents of a young daughter whom they named Lily Rose. As the years went by, the family has gone through numerous hardships and have only grown closer. Phoenixheart now lives and breathes for her family, willing to give her life just to see them smile. Since Phoenixheart and Kyoya have married, they've met and befriended many people while making a few enemies along the way as well. They have also had three other children aside from Lily and Phoenixheart loves them just as dearly.

Character Sheet
Name: Puck
Race: Fairy
Age: 21
Class: Sorcerer
Earth and Grass.
Personality: Light headed and kind mostly, adventurous and pretty reckeless, can speak his mind without noticing.
Appearance: Medium black hair laced in a ponytail, keeps a "human" form most of the times to hide his wings and glow, yet his eyes are still a fairy's regardless of every effort. Skinny and in average height for a human in his "human" form. The size of a 2B pencil as a fairy.
Wears a gray vest, white shirt, pants and shoes, but in his fairy form he wears a leaf.
Hometown: Caleah
Background/History:
In Caleah he worked in one of the many inns that newlywed couples would spend their time, until he heard about six mercenaries that were summoned by the king.
A loudmouth was bragging in the bar while drunk and gambling, he made a lot of money that night, when he left and the bar closed Puck were looking through the window of his room, when he saw some movement on the outskirts of town, it looked like someone was being beat up.
He quickly left his room and warned the inns owner, but got a "that's not my problem" for an answer.
He was already frustrated if not angry at such attitude, although he had a place and a job, his life felt so little, he wanted to do so much as a kid, but he was here trapped into this life, a life of no glory or adventure, only working and surviving out of a low wage.
It took him only some seconds to brush off the frustration as someone needed his help, he ran out of the inn and flew in fairy form to reach that place quicker.
When he arrived he saw two men grabbing a bag of coins from what looked like a corpse, Puck couldn't move, he was afraid, after all this, he felt fear...
Frustration took over as those two men went away, Puck went to check the corpse and he saw that bar loudmouth, his teeth kicked in and a deep black eye. He wasn't breathing.
Puck tried healing, but nothing could bring the man back. Puck then saw a small paper on the man's clothes, there was a letter, adressing Arthur Seuss as a mercenarie... It was from the king itself...
Puck thought for a second after reading the letter, absolutely astonished. Could this be his call for adventure, impersonating Mr. Arthur would be his way of making more of his own life.
And so he decided to take the letter, grab his possessions and leave the inn. This was his chance to become something else, and also someone else entirely.
