Arrow saw Amy, and ran to her. I'm so sorry. I can't even think straight anymore. We need to get Austin and get out of here. There's nothing here to save.
Austin saw Kenneth go, too, so he knew something was up. He decided to take the stairs down to the ground floor: Not a good idea for someone with a lung injury.

Amy was overcome with relief though she didn't much show it. Had she been anyone else, she might have hugged him thankfully, when he made it back to her, but she was able to manage a brief pat on the shoulder.
"Please don't worry about it, you didn't harm us. Lets find Austin, quickly, and get out of here." She would gesture back towards the building.

As soon as he saw Amy reach Arrow, Wildner turned on his heels and ran back to the building where they'd seen Austin. He reached it without troubles and caught up to him on the building's ground level. "Austin! Are you allright?"
Austin was relieved to see Kenneth. "Kenneth! Thank God. Where are the others? I'm fine."
Arrow's head fell. He knew he was a danger to the mission. These illusions... Someone was trying to mess with him. He needed to focus, otherwise he could hurt his teammates.

Amy pulled him along towards the building assuming he would follow. She heard Austin after a moment. We're coming for you. Are you injured?...I mean worse."
"They're fine and on their way here." He looked around. The city was quiet, but he didn't know what to think. "Want me to call in an evac? It'll draw attention, but we can be out in two minutes. I've got one standing by."
Austin was relieved to know the whole team was alright. I'm fine, nothing that I've noticed. Besides the fact that my armor is missing. We need to find another bunker soon.
"An evac? How many people do you have access to? We need out of here ASAP. This place messes with your mind. Make the call."

Amy made her way to Austin and Kenneth, pulling Arrow along with her. She was glad to see that he was alive. They were damned luck to all be alive.
"Yeah, the quicker we are out of here, the better."
She looked at Arrow for a moment, he was obviously still seeing things. She'd originally thought it was PTSD. It happened to her as well every now and then. But perhaps it was something more.
How bad is it now?

I've got connections with several others working out there to fight the cyborgs. Most of them are loners, though.
He took his radio and set it to his mouth and spoke. "Red eagle this is Ghost 1, do you copy?"
It stayed quiet for a while, and Wildner was starting to get concerned. "Red eagle this is ghost 1, do you copy?" he repeated, more urgent. The answer finally came. "Solid copy ghost 1, send it."
"We are in a large building across the old TV-tower. Four men, one of them wounded. We're outnumbered and we need to get out as fast as possible."
"Copy, on my way. ETA five minutes. Red eagle out."
Wildner sighed in relief. "You guys should go to the roof top. I'm going back to the TV-tower in case anything shows up. The evac has a prototype anti-cyborg beacon. It's supposed to repel all cyborgs within range, so you should be fine as soon as you get on board. It's not tested yet, though. Stay careful."

Austin nodded gratefully. "Will do. Amy, Arrow, on me. We're heading to the rooftop." He started up the way he came, continuing up the stairs.
I don't know.. I feel like something else is telling me what I'm seeing. Like my eyes aren't in use, and my brain just thinks they are. Whatever hit me back there, it did something to me. I know it.

Wildner got back on top of the rooftop and activated his camo. Not even the Cyborgs would be able to find him now unless they stood on top of them.
By the time he was set, he saw the others appear on the roof. He kept his radio close by.
"I see you guys. check the surroundings." He then changed channels. "What's the ETA on that evac?"
"Red Eagle ETA 3 minutes.
Wildner nodded and switched back to Austin's channel. Nothing had happened yet, but he scanned the streets for any movement.

Austin made it to the roof with some difficulty, and help from Arrow.
Once there, Austin nodded at Kenneth. "Copy that." He looked around for signs of enemies. Arrow did the same, although he knew it was useless. This place was dead. Austin rubbed his stab wound absentmindedly, trying to rub away the slowly dulling pain.

Amy frowned at Arrow slightly as he explained that he thought the cyborg had done something to him. You don't think...Her thought trailed off, what if the cyborg had somehow..infected him, or whatever it had been, that had been the end of Jack. No, she couldn't even allow herself to think about it. Sorry, forget it.
She would follow Arrow and Austin up to the roof, helping where she could, if she was asked to help.

(Everyone prepared for a time jump?)
Yus!
Okay, watch out, this one's a doozy.

Arrow saw red.
The room's lights flickered in time with the discordant booming coming from outside.
John licked the blood from his lips. His voice alternated between raspy and smooth, like he had a bad voice changer. The thick Russian accent resonated through the room. "It's over, boy. You are outmatched. I've killed most of your friends, and the other two will be dead soon."
Arrow said nothing. His thoughts were simple. We've destroyed all of it, John. You won't live to create anymore.
At this, John smiled. "Try me."
Fort McMurray, British Columbia. November 27th, 2039. 2200 Hours, or 10:00 PM
The evac had safely gotten the group away- At least far enough away from the city to clear everyone's minds. Arrow's visions vanished. Austin was able to renew his armor. The beacon Kenneth spoke about seemed to work. Austin still wasn't sure how they managed to build a repellant so easily. Why did they need the SET project to be revived? But then again, the government was willing to try anything.
The evac certainly brought attention. Fort McMurray was teeming with Experimental super soldiers, courtesy of John. Men with wings made of skin protruding from their spines and glowing eyes, people with four legs and a backwards-looking head, crawling as if demon-possessed. People who had metal spikes poking out of various places in their bodies. The evac's LZ was compromised. Of course, that wasn't recognizable until it was too late. These people knew how to hide themselves. The ship was destroyed shortly after its landing. The group made it to safety- Just in time to have to take out a horde of angry monsters who were most likely once human.
The city also teemed with Infected. Deformed men, women, and even children had the disgusting crimson gunk dripping off of their bodies. Their bodies were unnaturally muscled. Tendrils curled from various areas of their torsos and arms.
The group made it out of the Fort with some difficulty. Kenneth would find that his radio contact with High Command had been severed. News reports flashed in by the dozens in the SET Group's helmets:
SHOCKING NEWS: President Gordon found dead! Blood splattered all over oval office
VIRUS SPREADS: Representatives Hall and Jones turned into bloody, flesh-eating monsters
THE APOCALYPSE IS HERE: The British Navy's own Coyote has been hijacked; Crew turned into beasts
MEXICAN PRESIDENT SUICIDE: Country's leader hangs himself after family is infected with "Monster Disease"
The list went on, and on, and on. More notifications filled the visors as well.
WELCOME TO SET PROJECT: KAREN FROSST
WELCOME TO SET PROJECT: MOHAMMED HASSAN
WELCOME TO SET PROJECT: ARTHUR DRAKE
SET project members were being signed up all over the globe. These people were helping fight off John's attack on the Earth.
Soldiers dropped or turned as quickly as they were enlisted, and the epidemic got worse. It was humanity vs. science, and science was winning.
Then, slowly, everything began to reverse. Austin and his band of four became elite. They were leaders of a worldwide Cyborg Recovery Project. The Infection began to recede. Less and less people fell victim, and John's Experiments were nearly all killed.
Houston, Texas. December 28th, 2039. 1500 hours, or 3:00 PM
Kenneth was set up as a sniper at the edge of a perimeter in an Infected area. Three people were infected so far, and people were running wild through the streets. The quarantine was narrowed down to a few blocks. Arrow was running evac while Austin and Amy tried to confront the Infected. The Sam's Club they were currently in was empty except for one man, dripping red. His unnaturally large muscles rippled, and crimson spikes poked out of his back. A few dead people lay on the floor of the shop, mangled in horrible ways.
The robotic voice of Arrow's thought-translator came over the comm link. "Kenneth, this is Arrow, over. I've got an Infected at 2 o'clock. I need you to take it out while I evacuate these people, over."
Austin took a deep breath before looking at Amy. "Ready for this?"

After their escape Amy was retreated into herself some after they'd reached relative safety. She would continue to watch Arrow closely. She was worried for him. Willing to admit it or not, the death of her teammates, and their own close brush with death had massively effected her.
She immersed herself in her work, which there was plenty of, and during the odd moment of respite, she drank heavily, trying desperately to chase away the horrid memories, that had come flooding back all too clearly after her brush with the cyborg.
Progress helped though. She felt over the coming weeks that they were making some headway. Currently she was very much sober, and alert. She nodded in response to Austin's question. Ready.

Wildner had positioned himself quite well: he wouldn't have to move much in case he needed another angle. This is it. This is what he was best in, what he enjoyed doing. "Roger, taking the shot." It wouldn't take long before austin, arrow and amy heard the bullet soar over their heads and into the infected's head, triggering an explosion inside it.
Arrow moved the civilians quickly away from the area; pushing them out of the quarantine, where other SET Operatives had built a perimeter. His thought translator spoke up over the radio once more. "Good, thanks. Keep your eyes peeled for any more Infected people. Reports say there's still one more in the area."
Austin materialized a plasma launcher. "I'm sorry," He whispered before running at the monster. Only two shots were fired before he was thrown out of the snacks and into the dairy aisle. The monster was strong and fast. "Amy, can you subdue that thing?"

Kenneth, who had switched his view as soon as he heard Austin, quickly found the large infected with his scope. He could immediately see it would be useless, however. It moved to fast.
"Austin, Amy. If you can somehow get that monster to a standstill, if only for 5 seconds, I might be able to place a headshot."
