She nodded, and got to her feet. "Well... I'll leave you alone... Good to see you made it though." She shuffled on her feet for a moment, and then made to leave. She would pause in the door for a moment though.

"Austin?..No more getting stabbed."

"What, so I can die of boredom?" Austin joked. He laughed at Amy's request, but it really struck him as thoughtful. Perhaps Amy was growing closer to the team after all.

"You've got it, Ames. No more stabbing for me."

Amy would head off to her own room, where she would pass out, finally able to sleep, knowing they hadn't lost another team member.

(Freaky, plot-twisty things are in store for our heroes... )

The next morning, nothing unusual happened. SET Squad 1 (Austin's squad) was off duty today, due to his injuries, and the lack of need for their service in their area.

Arrow decided to sleep in. Austin still remained in the medical bay. He had recovered quite a lot from his previous condition: Nanobots work fast. Still, he probably wouldn't be fully recovered for another few weeks to a month at best.

Amy slept in a little later then she normally would have,and had one hell of a hangover when she woke the next morning. She took some time to make herself feel more human before she exited her room, in search of food.

Food. The mess hall was full of newly recruited SET Operatives, and some older ones. Mostly new though; A painful reminder of how big the threat is, despite its recent decline in activity. They were still at war.

Today's menu: Sausage and toast.

Arrow walked in shortly, and grabbed some food for himself.

Amy took her food to a deserted table. and ate silently by herself. She did not notice Arrow coming in, but would not have objected, had he chosen to sit with her.

Arrow obviously walked over to sit by Amy, seeing as she was the only person he could freely converse with.

You holding up okay? How's Austin?

Amy looked up when he sat down, and gave him a small smile. "I've had better mornings. Austin's fine it seems." She told him between bites.

Arrow smiled, and dug into his breakfast.

Well, at least it's not the worst of your mornings.

That was definitely true. She nodded, and finished up her breakfast. She lingered at the table for a bit.

"How are you doing?"

Arrow finished his meal shortly after Amy. I'm holding up through this whole mess.

she nodded. Though she hadn't expected to hear anything less. She let out a small sigh. "I was thinking of heading over to the med bay to make sure Austin didn't croak over night. Wanna come along?"

Arrow smiled. Why not? Lead the way. They didn't really have anything else to do, and Austin was a teammate.

She headed for the med bay, walking just a half step ahead of Arrow the entire way. Before long they were peering into the room he'd been put in.

Arrow followed until they reached the room. Austin was awake, and clearly bored. He held his holo, and he was messing with the various settings. He hadn't yet noticed Amy or Arrow.

Amy entered the room after a second. "How are you feeling this morning? Gonna make it"

Austin dropped the holo and smiled when Amy walked in. "Hey! I'm okay, I guess I'll live a while longer. How about yourself?" Arrow walked in afterwards, and of course said nothing. Austin understood, so he simply smiled and nodded.

"We're fine." she answered for the both of them.

"Good. Glad we have the day off today, huh? It'd be tough to do anything in this state." Austin chuckled. "Did you guys eat yet?"
