Jack seemed surprised. "They could read our thoughts, that's good. Do you know how? Perhaps we could develop an interference tech, that allows our helmets to block out all brain wave communication."
Austin looked intently through the transcripts. "How were they able to escape so quickly? I thought Red had that thing pinned, and then Boom! He was flat against the wall, and it jumped out the window. Do you have any kind of technology that is able to protect from that kind of thing? Something that could keep Red grounded?"

Amy shook her head. "This ,John, he was able to talk to us on the frequency inside our helmets, it would have to block that technology as well and that in turn would block us from being able to communicate amongst ourselves.
(Sorry, had to take care of something real quick)
Jack looked at Amy quizzically. "You don't think we could block out radio interference? Any kind of interference is recorded by the helmets, and sent to the HQ's database supercomputer, which tries to figure out a way to stop it. Helmet comms aren't the problem. Then again, it's John... He was part of SET once, too. He probably knows that. I guess we'll focus on thought interception first, and get to the comms problem if we encounter it again."
In response to Austin's question, Jack frowned.
"Unfortunately, no. Unless Red wants to be torn in half, then he can't stay grounded. The Cyborgs originally had a safety protocol, something that prevented them from going rogue, yes. But somehow they've gotten rid of it, which is why we're in this mess."
Red looked up suddenly. "When we were in the lockers, I noticed multiple sets of armor. Is there a reason for this? It seems to me that there are different types of armor to deal with different scenarios. Is there perhaps, a suit of armor designed for dealing with this.. Infection? And hopefully with the other Cyborgs, too."

Amy thought that was a decent question, and waited to hear Jack's response.
(sorry so short, wasn't sure what else to say )
(You're fine, lol.)
Jack smiled at Red's idea. "Well, yes and no. Shortly after the Cyborgs escaped, and we realized that they had somehow gotten over the safety protocol, we began working on suits of armor in addition to our basic combat armor, to add on and remove depending on the situation. We were able to finish a few different bits of armor designed to cancel out the abilities of some of the Cyborgs before the group was shut down, and.." Everyone knew what happened next. The members of the old group were killed somehow. Rumors floated around even to this day, saying that secret agents were sent to kill them, because of their failure, or they were killed by John, or the Cyborgs found them after their escape to kill them. Today was the first time John had been seen or heard from since his disappearance, so it was obviously a shock to Jack that he hadn't been killed along with the others, which is what was previously believed by him.
"If that's all we can glean for now, I'd like to take y'all to the training course. Combat training in areas of your weakness can really do you some good. Besides, getting used to the features on your armor will help you perform better on our next mission."

Amy would get up and follow them to the training area, all the while wondering why she was wasting their time. She wasn't going to work out. She was a mess. Well, she would work up the courage to resign after training perhaps.
The suits of armor now on once more, Jack led the group into a gigantic room. Probably bigger than the street they were on. It was perfectly empty. Blank. Nothing in the room but the reflective walls, ceiling, and floor. Until Jack pressed a button. Now they were in a perfect recreation of a city. Traffic, buildings, even replica people moved as if they were actually there, interacting and moving about on normal errands and tasks.
"What's the purpose of this?" Asked Red. "We were just in a city full of-" He was cut off by a person wearing SET armor blowing random things up, followed by three more.
"What better opponents than ourselves? I'll watch closely, but I want to allow you to work together without my help, see how you do. Red, you're team captain."

Amy gasped as the city sprung alive around them. incredible She thought to no one and everyone all at once. She waited eagerly to see what their 'Team Captain' would assign them to do, still looking all around in something akin to awe.
Red looked around for a moment, along with the rest of the group, who seemed to share Amy's awe. After a few seconds, though, he realized that they needed to spring into action.
"Okay, guys. There isn't really a strategic way to go about this... Right?" He looked at Jack for help, who simply shrugged, as if to say "I don't know, is there?" Red thought for a moment before apparently coming up with a plan. "Okay. There's four of them, and four of us. That evens out the playing field, making it difficult for both sides to win. I say we bring in some drones, or a vehicle, or a turret of some sort. The more firepower we have, the less chance they'll have of beating us."
"Yes, but what about civvies?" Asked Austin.
"We tell them to clear the area."
"Establish a perimeter, and bring in vehicles slash turrets slash drones?"
"I don't know- Have the drones set up a perimeter while we deal with the vehicles?"
"Do we even have drones?"
Red let out an exasperated sigh. "I'm pretty sure the most advanced weapons-tech developers in the world have at least some form of automated war machine."
After a few minutes of arguing between the two, Arrow shook his head, and motioned for Amy to follow him, his forearms starting to glow.

Amy would leave the bickering men, and follow closely behind Arrow. Content to help him with whatever he was planning. What's your plan?
At least two of the.. Clones of us will go to attack those guys. While they're keeping them busy, we take out the others. Our weapons and armor are most likely capable of hurting theirs, right?
Red and Austin looked up just in time to see one of the lookalikes carrying an energy sword like the one Austin was using earlier coming to attack them, closely followed by another carrying an automatic plasma rifle.
This left the other two much more vulnerable to attack, since Arrow and Amy were no longer outnumbered. Arrow stopped and hid behind a corner where the enemy were. Can you stun them with a telepathic... Sound? He knew she knew what he meant.

Amy reached out to the clones, spreading it to all of them if she could, in their ears she reproduced, roughly, nails streaking down a chalkboard, accompanied by a high frequency screeching noise.
Each of the lookalikes crumpled in agony, yet their eardrums didn't burst. They were stuck in perpetual pain because the sound they were "hearing" wasn't going through their ears. Thankfully these weren't real people.
As Amy did this, Arrow dashed out and incinerated the two nearest lookalikes with two charged plasma-bursts coming from his palms, and then took out the other two by literally dashing through them, himself briefly becoming a laser before returning to his original spot.
Upon the fourth suit of armor's destruction, the city disappeared, and Jack, who had disappeared somewhere in the midst of the training session, now came back into view.
"That was great, y'all. Two of you argued over what weapons to use, while the other two took care of the problem, straying away from the team captain." The sarcasm was obvious, but Jack laughed good-naturedly. "Still, you guys aren't really a team yet. We'll fix that over time. I think it's time to wash up, head to the mess, and then get some shut-eye. We get up pretty early tomorrow, so be prepared."

Amy stayed well protected behind him as he did this, and cheered in her mind when they had succeeded, though she was well aware, the true objective had not been met. They had not worked as a team, only her and Arrow had.
Still, the idea of a meal, and some shut eye was appealing. She would gladly head back to the locker room to shower and change, as they did.

After they had eaten, and all changed, the team each headed to their individual dorms. The dormitory was easily found, a hallway with a row of doors. Each door was labeled with the owners' name, and contained a desk, a bed, windows, (to see the beauty of space,) a closet, and a bathroom. On the desk could be found a tablet, which contained a massive amount of data, (look up anything) a holo to watch various programs, or to test out different models of prototyped ideas. The closet contained extra pillows, sheets, blankets, and of course uniforms and jumpsuits. The bathroom had a medicine cabinet underneath the sink, toothbrush, toothpaste, a shower, and soap.
Austin was first to head to his room. He was excited about something, probably going to tinker around with the things on the desk, possibly personalize his room, too.

Amy headed off to her own room shortly after, not keen on sharing in after dinner conversation. She knew that Jack was eager for them all to become friendly with each other, but honestly Amy wasn't sure that was possible. She didn't trust a single one of them, aside from Arrow of course.
She closed herself into her room and sat herself down on the bed, head in hands. As she tried to work out whether it would be beneficial to stay, or if she was simply to great a danger to the team.

Arrow headed off to his room shortly after Amy. He couldn't, or didn't talk, and therefore was useless for conversation as well.
Red and Jack headed to their respective dorms soon after, seeing as the company had all separated.

Damn, thought Austin as he stumbled through the hallway to the lockers. The alarm was blaring. Not just an alarm to wake you up personally, an entire ship-wide alarm. He had gone through this kind of drill before: Wake up at 0-dark thirty, get to your gear, and get it on faster than the others. Otherwise your ass got stuck on guard duty, or another such boring, punishing task. Red and Arrow joined him, and they quickly applied their armor. Jack was nowhere to be found. Once they had the armor on, the three rushed out of the lockers to the drop room. Austin assumed this was part of the drill, because there was no other obvious place to go, unless there were battle stations on this gigantic ship.

Amy had barely gotten a wink of sleep, as she had been up most of the night thinking. As it was, she'd been woken by her brain an hour before the alarm went off. It had startled her, but she was alert enough to quickly make a dash for the locker room, throwing her hair into a ponytail as she ran. She dressed quickly, and made it out to the drop room, assuming that would be the meeting area as well. She was the last of her team to make it out.
Jack was waiting at the drop room, and as Amy entered the room, everyone expected the alarm to stop, and then they could all just go about their business. However, this was not the case. In fact, Jack kept his helmet on.
"Cyborg Recovery Team Ready?"
"You can not be serious." Sighed Austin.
"I guess." Grumbled Red.
"Ready." Came Arrow's robotically translated response.
