Inashia was quite confused when somehow he came out on top! She blinked for a moment, then smiled and laughed. "Yeah, I guess so!" She smiled at him. "See? Isn't this fun, Te'van?"
"Not really," he shrugged and climbed off of her. It was at least half true; he was amused but he wasn't having fun.
Inashia frowned. "Sheesh. You're so serious. What's it take to make you have fun?" She sat up once he got off of her. He was such a stick in the mud!
"I don't know. I'm not a child anymore. I don't have fun, I save lives of people like us."
Inashia frowned a little. "I'm not a child either, te'van. But if you want to actually enjoy life a little, you have to do something you enjoy." She felt like he might be a hopeless cause, though. He was doing something wonderful, that was absolutely true. But...she just felt like he needed to smile once in a while.
He crossed his arms and turned away, slithering up onto his rock and coiled up loosely.
Inashia found herself a rock and settled onto it, closing her eyes. She felt bad. She didn't know his life, she didn't know what he'd gone through, and how passionate he was about everything he did. Maybe he never had time to play as a child. Maybe it just wasn't in his nature. She only wanted to help, but it seemed she'd only made the situation worse.
It didn't take long for the naga to fall asleep on his warm rock, the sun bathing his bare back. He slept soundly and peacefully for about an hour before a strong gust of cool wind woke him and he yawned widely.
Te'van glanced over at Inashia and sighed a bit. He felt bad too; she was ony trying to make him enjoy himself but... He had no childhood, not a real one and so found no "fun" in such things. He was certainly amused for a little while but no more. He looked around, considering just writing her an apology and leaving.

Just as Te'van was considering leaving, Inashia stirred as well. That gust had woken her too, and she sat up and stretched. "Aww...what happened to the sun..?" She shivered a little and sighed. Cold gusts were no fun. She liked being warm, and the cold was just horrible. She rubbed her eyes, yawned, and then looked over at Te'van. Oh, right. That awkward situation with him.
He winced as she woke too. That was the end of That idea.
"We'd best find shelter. It's gonna rain soon," he said quietly and looked around.

Inashia's tongue flicked out a couple times and she sighed. "You're right. I don't want to get caught in the rain, I'd rather curl up in front of a fire." She stretched and slithered off her rock, looking around. "Where can we go, though?" Anywhere with people wasn't exactly a safe option.
"I live in a cave nearby," Te'van offered with a tired smile as another cold gust blew by.
Inashia smiled. "Perfect." A cave would be nice and sheltered from the cold. "I'll follow you." She shivered as a gust blew by and slithered closer to him, ready to follow him.
He quickly guided her through the tree and to large hill which had a hole just big enough for him to slither into.
"Ladies first."
"Ladies first."
Inashia paused for a moment. For just one moment, she wondered if she could trust him. Then she nodded and slithered into the hole, letting him come in after her.
