A supervillain called Megamind created a portal and it didn't go well. It messed with reality, making doubles of characters appear and eventually affected also other timelines and other universes altogether - not just AU's. The city's verse is instable now. Characters appear and re-appear and not even timelines align sometimes. Frequent time- and dimension-travelling is just making things worse.
We need: Canon characters, OC's and characters from all kinds of fandoms, though characters that fall into categories like villains and heroes are especially valuable. New players are just as welcome as people that have written for years. We can teach you the basics, are super newbie-friendly and can give you a good group to start out in or keep building on your characters with. Some members (like me) don't speak English as their first language, but everyone's supposed to write in full sentences, give the other a response they can work with and be as grammatically correct as it's simply possible. Occasional art doesn't hurt, but is not at all requirement! All skill levels are good with us as long as every party is making an effort to keep the experience fun. The goal is to write good stories for all people included, push our skills, support each other and have a great time.
How it's working: The setting is from DreamWorks animation movie Megamind, with its reality now shaped by the people you get along with and what you yourself want it to be. You follow the story of your own characters that sometimes of course cross paths with the ones of other members. When you stop being active or don't get along with a person for whatever reason, your characters disappear from this ones story for the while, so there is no pressure or daily activity requirement. Their story from there on progresses without you, though of course you can reconnect anytime later. You can pick who to build your storyline with and you can import your own muses verse, too, letting it fade into this one and keep building on it. It's supposed to be crazy and fun. Talking dinosaurs, living water puddles, aliens, faeries ... bring it on.
Just to give you a story example: My story follows the superbat Bruce who was send to Earth as a baby bat and now tries to build a 'colony' of superheroes to help each other helping others. He often picks up characters who just entered the verse and don't understand what's going on, though other heroes do, too. Lately, a lot of other aliens showed up in Metro City: one of them contacting Bruce' people, who are on now on their way to Earth to pick him and other stranded aliens up ... although they do not want that.
Someone elses story may be about their character who crossed a portal, voluntarily or not, and appeared in Metro City without any means to find back or with means to find back but no motivation to. We're good at finding individual solutions to get others in the story, too. There are characters who are magic, characters that have superpowers and characters who are just like you and me and gotta try to live with things like these to happen on their way to work, for that:
About us: We are roughly 15 people at the moment, some more, some less active, some with more, some with only one character. I want to keep building on this verse and have a lot of characters connected in little groups all over the place. RP-wise, it's perfectly fine to roleplay wherever, but maybe just post the rp in the public forum on our group site on RPR here or connect with us on Discord so we can organize each other and plot properly.

Magic is common.
Far future, perhaps galactic teleporters and fast terraforming
More combat than not. The setting may be at war, and the characters will likely get involved whether or not they seek it out.
Details: Occasional dice use, adjustable length posts, long-term RP partner preferred.
