Nikki watched him dissaper but stayed in the car on her phone.

Yes I’m ready. “Calm as ever”

Althea nodded and closed her eyes, taking in a breath and letting it go slowly. She searched through Asteroths mind, and found a memory he had not thought of in some time. She pulled it forward.

“Begins crying after the memorie of his mother was pulled forward” Oh mother if you could see me now I am more than my father ever will be. “Begins to glow white with his horns disappearing into nothing”

Althea opens her eyes and lets go, pulling her hands quickly back to her.

“Stops glowing white with his horns gone” I seem to have lost my horns what happened?

Ari watches curiously, she loved fae magic, it wasn’t useful in battle, but still very interesting. She had some magic as well, it altered emotions, but only if she had felt them as well. It tended to happen on its own accord when she was feeling intense emotions she couldn’t control.

Althea furrowed her eyebrows, staring at where Asteroth’s horns once were. “I... I don’t know.”

Neither do I but honestly I can live without them they do happen to be a bother sometimes so I’m kinda happy there gone now but still horns on a demon don’t just disappear. “Strongly being puzzled by what had happened”

Althea thought for a moment. “Is there another demon you could ask? Something like this doesn’t just happen.”

Well I could ask Zeke but I don’t see him anywhere nearby. And all the other demons hate me so he is the only one I can ask. “Asteroth says with a shrug”

Arianna sits down, a few feet away. “Maybe the demonic features are a curse, and the only way you overcome it is by accepting your mother’s death.” She says.

That....that sounds very logical. “Sighs with a tear slipping down his cheek”

Althea nodded at the Avian girl. “I think she’s right, you are obviously a demon, but I have encountered demons that don’t have demonic features like you, they just look human.”

*appears back at the car

I think I agree with you. “ nods thoughtfully”

“I’ve had to deal with it before.” She says, raising on of her wings, her feet shifting into talons. “My mother cursed me, claiming I had killed father. I wasn’t responsible, even though my mother persisted. I still haven’t accepted I’ve lost both of them, one literally.”

That’s really sad friend.

Ari shrugs. “It was a long time ago.” She says, her wings and talons retracting into her back and feet.

yeah I can understand. “Says with emotion”
