“Just a few towns over. My friend kicked me out of the house so she and her boyfriend could hang out alone.” She chuckled.

"Oh... do you like it here?"

“It’s alright. I’d prefer to be in my own room, but we can’t always get what we want.” She shrugged. “You?”

"I like it... I don't have to be near my dad here..."

(Am I right in assuming that this friend is Amber?)

Nova walked back to his cabin and lay back on in his bed.

(How’d you guess?)

She nodded. “I know how you feel.” She chuckled.

'Y-You do?"

“I didn’t have a great childhood, exactly.”

"M-Me either"

“Thought as much.” She smirked.

"Heh...."

“It’s okay. No one really has a perfect life.” She shrugged.

"Yeah..."he looked down

“If you ever want to talk about it, I’m here. I know I’m not the friendliest looking person, but I’m not mean. I promise.”

"Well... I-I'm not sure if I should be saying this, but could you help me... with a small problem of mine?"

“Sure.” She nodded.

He pulled up his shirt sleeves, his arms were covered in bruises and cuts"m-my dad did this... and he wont stop... I need help..."

She frowned. “That’s no good. We should heal this first, then if you want to talk about it, I get it. I leaned healing not too long ago, because of this stuff.”

"Thanks, being covered in cuts and bruises isn't fun"
