Corrine found Matt in the garden and slid in beside him on the bench, “So, what happened earlier?” She asked, referring to his mood towards the demon girl.

"Oh, nothing"

Matt

I looked at her. "I don't have a good relationship with demons. They've taken everything I've once known and once loved. I've lived in torment for what seems like forever. The only way to keep cool is to take my mind off of the past. Nature is one solution. Anthony is partly here for me as well." I admitted some of the facts, but I had remained somewhat vague. My history is not for everyone, and could very well turn people away.


Anthony

I laughed more. "Not gross. It seems like you'd get sick of bat-themed foods though haha!"

Raven walked down the halls trying to memorize every classroom and then turned back to the lunch room. She had no idea why she cared so much all of a sudden , but she couldn't get kicked out of this school. No , definetly not. The alternative wasn't going to happen. She wouldn't let it.

Corrine went silent for a moment, after listening to Matt’s story. She hesitantly touched her shoulder to his, “I’m sorry...”

Matt

I composed myself. "Thank you for your concern, but this is not your fault. This was long ago. I will find a way to forget eventually. I really hope I will." I thought of the demon. "As for the new girl, I understand she may not be evil at all, but her whole race is based on malevolence. After my experience, how could I ever find myself to trust her?"

Ember remains silent and continues eating, listening to the people in the mess hall talk.

Corrine thought for a moment, before looking up at Matt, “I think it’ll take a long time for you to trust her, but I think you should give her a chance, or at least pretend to be happy to see her.” She said the last part while lightly laughing.

Matt

I nodded. "Easier said than done I suppose." I looked at her square in the eye. "I will try though."



(aight I gotta go to work soon guys, I'd better not come back to another 40 pages to read through lol)

Lucifer had finished his food. "So, anybody got something to break ze awkwardness?" Lucifer poked his head forth.

Raven stepped into the lunch room and looked around. She found a table without any people and sat down , looking at her fingers.

Ember finishes eating, pushing her plate out of the way. She didn’t really know what to talk about, not being a smalltalk person in the first place.

Corrine looked back at Matt and smiled, laughing a little. She checked the time, “Class should start soon again.”
