Anyone have a song that just triggers so much muse for a specific character its almost crazy? Lol, I've been listening to one song in particular on repeat that reminds me so much of my character Jyotis and I love it (Its actually on his profile now).

Music is one of my main inspirations and go-to when in need of muse, anyone else that way?

I make playlists on Spotify for basically all of my characters. A lot of times I'll add songs as their story progresses and their circumstances change. Most of their songs end up becoming so wrapped up with that one character, I can no longer listen to it without finding myself in their head space.

My friend recently got me to use Spotify and that's what I've wound up doing, starting playlists for my characters. I love music so much as is but its always a plus when I find songs that give me such high muse.

I've tried so hard to do this, but haven't found any songs that fit! What's your secrets for this?

I can't really say there's any secret to it, its mostly you listening to the song and finding out whether it fits your character or not. Or maybe its the aesthetic of the artist. There's lots of reasons as to why a song may fit a character but it all really comes down to how you perceive it

I dooo this. I have a song (or... songs) for each character and play them on repeat whenever I'm writing them or doing something that revolves around them. It triggers allll the feels and stuff.

It's nice to know I'm not the only one lol do you guys actually have any song or artist recommendations? For my one character Jyotis I listen to a lot of Adam Lambert (actually I listen to him for a lot of my characters.. I love him), Right now I have his song 'For your entertainment' on Jy's profile cause it does fit him pretty well.

I do this also. Sometimes a song makes me think of a certain character or vice versa, where a song gives me an idea for a character. Sometimes they're very different styles of music as well but it doesn't clash in my mind. After all, people are multifaceted and defy easy categorization as well. If a song speaks to me as such, or I feel it's thematic, it joins the character's front page. Maybe it was the words, maybe it was the tone, the tune, the message I got, but the medium that is music is how I express a lot of my own emotions.

Songs carry that great emotional power and I tie them to memories and moments in my life. I listen to something like "Gavi's Song" by Lindsey Stirling and I can feel how sad she is about the loss of her friend, which is how I think she wanted it to come across. Then there are days where I'm not in such a pleasant mood and "Break Stuff" by Limp Bizkit is the perfect driving music (parental discretion advised for you young folk so your parents don't have a heart attack if they overhear it).

I couldn't agree more and I certainly couldn't have worded it better, music is more than music to me really. It strikes me on such an emotional level. Its hard to explain but music means so much to me and it affects me far more than it seems to with most people. Most of my characters have been developed based off a song that struck me on a certain level.

I got four characters that arent based off any premade universe (like from a game or something) although I feel I've put the most work into and its because I was listening to specific music at the time of making/editing them.

Lol music can be a real inspiration for a lot of people, Especially it seems to those who write/RP and are into some kind of art such as drawing/painting/etc.

I have a song for Faith, it just fit perfectly when I heard it. Summed up her story perfectly.

I have yet to find or hear another song for the rest.

I'm slowly adding songs to my character's profiles, so far I only have one for two of them.
