Hai, I'm Nocturne, one of the mods for a Persona 5 DnD campaign done both over Roll20 and VNO (Visual Novel Online)! My DM and I have decided to hit the hard reset button on our previous campaign and have decided to start over. Problem is, we need people. This campaign is set around an original cast and setting, and we want to make sure that every character is impactful and unique, so that nobody falls into the backlines of obscurity. Sorry guys, that means no Fool Arcana.
The group so far only has six members, and we're looking to expand, as our previous members lost interest too soon in, sadly. We're across different countries and timezones, so flexibilty is definitely not a problem.
Our VNO sequences will be centered more around Real World Events, as where Roll20 is where we'll be conducting our Palace and Mementos runs. Things such as our Discord Server and Documents will be made available upon request.

Hey, so I'm allllmost done playing through Persona 5 (I'm a 100% completionist so I'm sinking a lot of extra time into it), and my IRL tabletop gaming group ended last month because of scheduling conflicts. I've been playing Pathfinder for about five years now and I played exactly one 3.5 D&D campaign before our group switched to Pathfinder exclusively.
I don't know D&D very well since it was just the one campaign and it's been forever, and I've never played D&D or Pathfinder online, only in real life, but I miss it very much, and since I can't play IRL anymore, online seems like a decent idea.
I love Persona, particularly the story and concept behind Persona 5, and would definitely be interested in a campaign involving the world.

I'm Tailais, the GM / DM for the aforementioned Persona DnD-style RP Campaign, and thanks for replying.
Firstly, don't worry too much about not playing DnD too much, as our RP is done in a very homebrew-style Persona-themed deal with many rules and mechanics being pulled over from the game to make it, y'know, "feel" Persona-y, that's been refined over the course of our last run of this campaign which fizzled out due to a portion of our group needing to leave. As such, as you've played a tabletop before, and played Persona, it shouldn't feel too alien / alien at all, in all honesty.
Our RP has been split in half down the middle with 'irl', slice-of-life sections making up as much of the whole as the dungeon crawls / Metaverse / Mementos sections, so hopefully that's alright with you- One of the main themes in Persona, after all, is the overcoming of hardships and character development in that manner, and we're hoping to re-create that with the characters and stories told IC.
With all that in mind, if you're still interested, do make sure to let either Noc or I know.

I'd be very interested in a hybrid RP/tabletop game! I assume you mean that RP goes on for the non-Palace portions, and then we bust out the dice for the Palace crawls, which I'm happy to try, I like both written RP and tabletop games, so it should be fine.

Firstly, we use VNO or Visual Novel Online to roleplay the day to day events happening outside the Metaverse. Basically, it's an online visual novel-esque chat room where we use our drawn characters, normally done by Tails, to give a physical appearance to the Persona games. Someone will be there to teach you how to access and use the server.
We also use Discord as a kind of in between. Somewhere the group can talk both out of character and I like to use it as a bookkeeping archive and to do send cell phone messages between characters since VNO removed that feature. =_= Not cool, VNO.
In the Roll20, we usually talk or plan out strategy over the headset while characters interact over the tabletop's chat room. Again, we'll be teaching you how to you use the interface.
I'm actually going to just drop the link to the documents here so you have them. If you have Discord, either Tails or I'd be more than happy to add you. In terms of timezones, I'm in America where the time is at the time of this post 9:15 am, while he is in Australia at 1:15 am, sixteen hours ahead. We play whenever people are available so long as a mod is around to host our server. We'll have a set schedule for when we do Palace and Metaverse dungeoning in Roll20.

One last question, the character creation part says that you have to pick a Persona of your Arcana- does that mean you have to pick a pre-existing Persona from the games of that Arcana, or just that your Persona has to share your Arcana with you? I already had an idea of which legendary rebellious figure I wanted to use for my Persona, but she's not included in the games. Do the absolutely have to be from the games?
