The setting would be a modern/maybe not too far future and my character, William Helachy, is looking for someone while also trying to maintain his science life. He's lonely and his work is beginning to dip. His progress is slowing and his assistant goes out looking for someone to 'volunteer' for an harmless experiment which would involve the volunteer(your character) to live within the lab for however long the 'experiment' will last.
(Side note: William is a sub, or a uke for those used to doing these male x male rps so he wouldn't be the one to really start anything.)

On very, very, rare occasions there may be unexplained, POSSIBLY supernatural events. Minor "environmental" magic. Perhaps implies the existence of a deity or supernatural entity. Or perhaps it's just tricks?
Near future, perhaps cloning and genetic manipulation
Distant war may be part of the setting, but any scenes that happen to involve combat will likely be summarized, not played out in detail.
