A malevolent sorcerer creates a labyrinth filled with challenges and perils. At its center is an object of power that will unleash darkness on the Earth if no one can reach and destroy it within 50 years. Unfortunately, no one did. Now you must survive the perils of Dark Earth! Can have one magic power (but not too OP) and can be a fantasy species. Romance, swearing, and gore are allowed, but NO sex.

For those who wish to know: I'm Athena and I'm an elf with invisibility powers. the rp will start when someone replies to this message.

Ok, I could use Calan, she can manipulate air.

Yeah, that would be great. Do you want to start our characters as partners or have them meet another way?

I am Shade a long dead who was brought about when the darkness befell the world, I seek answers and a way the return to the land of the dead. I have no memory of my past but I am rouge assassin.

Let me know when to start I have ideas for how this can work.

(flashback)-Athena looked at the swirl of black clouds in the sky. "They didn't make it in time." She said. The ball of black burst and exploded, and the darkness spread, inhabiting different things, people, and places. Athena was safe, she had put a protection charm on the cave she was residing in. She watched a group of people inhale the darkness and collapse, dead. She saw trees wither in a second. "And so begins a new life."-(flashback end)

As he walks down a rough dirt road Shade looks to the black, inky sky which sets him wondering 'how long it had been since that day', time ment little to the undead a year could feel like a century. As he continued to walk he hears the sound of people approaching, not know if he's been seen he dives into some thick shadows, he waits for them to pass.

Athena heads into the woods to hunt. She hears something and puts her hand on her dagger. She keeps walking, hoping not to run into a darkling (a person corrupted by the darkness).

Watching from the shadows shade watches as a brown haired elf starts to walk past, taking a breath he readjusts his hat and mask, only for a sudden gust of wind to blow them both into the path of the elf, stepping out of the gloom he hope to gather his hat.

"Who are you?" Athena asks, holding her dagger in front of her as a precaution

"Not but a traveler" Shade replies picking up his mask and hat, placing them back over his face. Looking down he sees her dagger.

"Best not be looking for a fight love, hate to make you my next victim," he chuckles, shifting his long duster to one side showing her his twin long knives.

Athena lowers her knife. "You wouldn't be able to kill me in a fight because you wouldn't be able to find me." She puts her dagger away and holds out her hand. "Athena."

Looking around the elf before him had vanished.

"Neat trick," said Shade drawing his knives, "now let's see what you got, slippery little elf girl."

Athena walked behind him, making less noise than a feather hitting the groound.

Shade stood still listening for any sign of where the girl had gone.

"Having trouble finding me?" she whispered before quickly, silently, and effortlessly moving to a different location.

Moving quick as a flash Shade stood between her and her desired hiding place knife raised ready to strike, triumphantly shouting "got ya!"

She became visible again and put away her dagger. "Nice. My name's Athena." She held out her hand. "Glad to finally meet someone not hell bent on destroying everything they see."

Taken aback by the girl's sudden friendliness Shade stoped mid strike and examined the girl, seeing no signs of deception he put away his knives.

"Shade," he said taking the young lady's hand and shaking it "must say I've not fought anyone quite so friendly as of late."

"Neither have I. Everyone seems to have gone crazy lately."
