It started simply. YC finds a lamp, and brushes some dust off, and soon, a deep voice speaks to them.
"CONGRATULATIONS ON FREEING ME. IN EXCHANGE FOR MY FREEDOM, I SHALL GRANT YOU ONE WISH. BUT BEWARE: IT IS CURSED!" it booms, leaving an awkward silence in its wake.

Will you take the risk?

Well. It implies you can get away of the bad effects, or nobody going to take it. Lol. Is despaire strong enough, anyway?

Well, maybe you can suggest some wishes, but I have downsides, like the type where you can get all the gold you want, but you can't touch anything else...i dunno. (but not this worse, because if I recall, he died from lack of food. lol)
I mean, cursed wishes you can still live with, you know.

It makes your life miserable on a side, but there is a good side.

In this situation, almost all of my char will take up the risk, because some have a truly miserable life.
Some others do have, but they got means to get to their goals, so it's a "not-for-the-moment" kind of abstention "thank-you." xD
But you'll never know, everything can turn.

She lays down the lamp back on her bedside table, and slip under her sheets, entering a soft sleep.
