I am looking for a wizard or witch to join my character, Anthony Baynin, in an adventure. The plot is this:
Two wizards and/or witches are chosen to keep the peace between any wizard or witch gangs in the city they are chosen to protect. They hid in plain sight and can be the person next to you on the bus or on the subway but, they make sure the city stays there and is not destroyed by the hooligans. Anthony is one of these protectors, posing as a shop owner. The other is your character. Each protector has a secret meeting place under the city where there is a whole living space where other wizards and witch protectors can come and go. This goes for all cities. Your character can be a close friend of Anthony’s or a new protector to replace a retired protector. That is up for you to decide.

Magic is fairly common. Players and NPCs important to the tale may have it. Mistborn.
Modern
Combat is expected as part of the storyline but it won't dominate the plot.
