"What? You never seen a Demon Wolf before?" Gaia looked at Lydrea, her voice was slightly deeper in her wolf form.

Lydrea quickly shook her head.

"Oh." Gaia looked at the ground." Would it be better if I transform into a smaller size?"

Is there reason to fear nearby enemies?

"I don't think so."

"Then yes, please, if you can." Lydrea knew it was the same girl she met in the village, but the gigantic wolf she'd turned into still scared her."

Gaia turned into a smaller form, this time only coming up to Lydrea's waist." Sorry about that. I'm used to people not minding what size I am."

"T-that's allright..." Lydrea got back on her feet.

Gaia began walking ahead." My name Is Gaia."

"Lydrea." She replied. she followed the wolf

"Pleased to meet you Lydrea." Gaia looked up at her." What kind of human are you? I mean you healed me."

A white tigress loped into the village. She didn't notice the wolf and turned into a girl. She searched through the bodies. "No...no..." She said quietly as tears started to run down her face. "They were supposed to be safe here..."

Gaia looked up sharply. Still in her wolf form, she headed toward the scent. She stopped when she saw the girl crying. Gaia approached her carefully." Are.... you okay?"

Tolora looked up and saw the wolf. "No... There was a boy that lived here, about 12 years old. Do you know where he is? Do you know if he's..." She glanced at the bodies and couldn't bring herself to say the rest. There was a mixture of hope and dread in her voice.

Gaia thought for a moment." I don't think I remember seeing him when this happened." She transformed into her human form.

Tolora smiled. She felt almost faint with relief, "Thank god. What happened here? I came running as soon as I smelled blood."

"A few men came and attacked the village." Gaia looked down, sad and ashamed." I tried to protect them but it wasn't enough."

Tolora nodded sadly. "You did your best. They were simply too much. I would've come sooner, had I known...I doubt they'd have been able to face the both of us."

Gaia nodded." Can I come with you to find him? It's the I can do."

"That would be great." She smiled and then changed back into her tiger form, where her sense of smell would be much stronger.
