Wizarding realm of Cartian Is under attack and only the most powerful Mages can defeat the evil that has invaded the land. Can it be reasoned with, or will we have to destroy it entirely?

This is an old-age fantasy setting so no technology. Non-human characters are allowed (E.G Elves,trolls) Characters however must have magical ability. We will be writing in a private group for the fantasy setting. More setting details will be introduced in the start of the roleplay.

Bellitudo was conceived under a trick. Her true mother, Cyn, seduced her father under the guise as Cynder. Once Cynder realized the child she carried, the goddess disappeared for months, afraid the unborn child would harm her loved ones. The pregnancy was rough on her, and she was forced to return. There were incidents caused by the child's unchecked powers, yet Cynder chose to keep the child even after the disagreement of the others. She named her Bellitudo, meaning beauty. She believed that if raised in the light, Bell would grow to be a good person.

Cynder was right. Bell grew to be helpful, but she often didn't. Over time she became withdrawn, favoring the company of books rather then people. Every time she tried to help, her powers went haywire, and caused more damage then good.

He is quiet, a bit amiable, and also a bit sarcastic at times. When you think of an all powerful magus, Lucien isn't the first person who comes to mind. Some good qualities that he possesses is that he is resourceful, quick to make decisions, and is focused when it comes to combat. He usually keeps most of his extreme emotions under tight wraps in some attempt to seem more mature, but come to know him a bit more, and he'll open up if he trusts you.

He wields an extremely rare and unique variety magic that is only accessible to him right now; the Ulterior Veneficium (roughly translating to further than magic/the magic beyond). This sort of magic focuses on astral matter, and can give the wielder the ability to move objects, create barriers, teleport places, and conjure the power of the cosmos to aid said wielder in battle.

Born in the kingdom of Utharius, which was considered to be the birthplace of magic, Lucien was already destined to be a great Magus under the Order of the Stellaris (a council of older Magus that oversaw the younger Magus in training). Though the elder Magus could already tell that there was something rather different about Lucien; something special. The boy had a profound interest in constellations, stars, and the world beyond. But if that wasn't enough, he also shown the signs of possessing the Ulterior Veneficium, the most powerful and rarest magic in existence. Stars can be born, or completely destroyed with this magic.

Now the Order knew that Lucien was a kindhearted soul, so there wasn't any problems with what path he would choose. Though if word got out, people would try and use Lucien for his gifts. Knowing this, they told the young man to not use his power in public under any circumstance. While Lucien didn't exactly understand these orders, he didn't want to question it. Instead, he practiced his other skills; swordplay, his study in astrology, and other things. But sometimes, Lucien would go out into the forest, away from prying eyes, and learn to use the Ulterior Veneficium to its fullest extent.

The main opposing kingdom of Lacuria finds out that Lucien is the wielder now through some spying they had done on his home. Then one day, they invade Utharius, hoping to catch Lucien in the process. They miss him, but end up destroying most of the cities there in the process, including the capital.

Lucien is still on the run to this day, mostly moving from city to city now.

Cyclical 'sickness' that crops up towards the end of a Turn (see below). Results in insomnia, exhaustion, and lowered magical resistance.

Quirky, strongly empathetic, prone to observing before engaging. Not afraid to speak his mind or stand up against an injustice he sees. Hates when minor disagreements devolve into vicious fighting. A kindly, generous sort.

+Fire and healing magic, and he's versatile at both. Boasts an astonishing resistance to magical attacks and mental suggestion. Additionally, over the years he has learned numerous offensive and utility spells that he can fire off with little more than a practiced gesture or snatch of song.

+Goes through Turns, or cycles of decay/regen. Typical phoenix 'burst into flames, reborn from the ashes' deal. Interesting enough, Kekoa's Turns are extremely short. They last anywhere between 25 and 40 years.

+Sensitivity to ghosts and the like, though can't hear or see them clearly unless he's within the last few years of a Turn. That's when he can also touch these ethereal creatures. Those experiencing difficulty passing on tend to flock to him and when Kekoa's Turn ends, the resulting flames purify them. Like a rocket-blast into the afterlife. Or sometimes pull them back to the land of the living. Never know which will happen.

+His ashes are actually strongly magical in their own right. Depending on how they're used, they can form powerful medicines or be used as components in various potent compounds. They'd probably fortify weapons or armor with interesting properties, as well.

+Kekoa's feathers can rouse a person from unconsciousness, if the feathers are burned. This applies to even magic-induced sleep, though it isn't a permanent fix to powerful sleep curses. At least not alone.

+Carries a shortsword and numerous throwing knives and other thrown ammo. Prefers to keep fighting at mid-range, but not afraid to zip in and hammer a foe from up close with weapons, magic, or unarmed attacks.

+Can switch between phoenix and human forms, usually in a flurry of feathers or a burst of bright orange flame.

Loyal, first and foremost, to his family and the valley in which they live. Works tirelessly for their benefit, whether remaining by their side as a protector or wandering the world in search of good things to bring back. Friendly, though, and open to outsiders. Often becomes deply involved in the affairs of others, looking to help the ones he's grown close to on the road. Notorious as a mediator, because he always pursues the best end possible for everyone involved.

That being said, Kekoa would do anything for the good of his family. Even if it hurt him in the process.
