Hello all! Just a friendly PSA that in going forward I would ask that if you have any issues with another person's conduct that you please report it to the moderators. That's what the button is there for, as well as our diligent moderators of RPR. On that note, if you have a concern about someone's word, feel free to send me a PM so that I can look into it. Of course, I am not a moderator, but if you are worried that someone may be misleading or incorrect in their usage, I can check it out. Thanks!

Gregarious
Adjective

Extremely sociable.

example: "Adam is a gregarious drunk, which is amusing considering what a misanthrope he is sober."

Philomathy:
An enjoyment of and passion for learning new facts and acquiring new knowledge.

I find one's philomathy to be much more attractive than their already acquired intelligence.

Macerate

Exploit
verb

All knowing.

"Vagabond" has always intrigued me, for it seems like it's describing someone rich or tasteful, yet it's the complete opposite.

Vagabond - a person who wanders from place to place without a home or job.

Mythoclast

Someone who decries myths.

"Geoff, the local mythoclast, was ironically killed by a dragon last week."

I know I'm a wee bit late to the dark words and things we can do to a body train, but--

Disarticulate
verb (with or without object)

• to make or become disjointed, as the bones of a body or stems of a plant.

• In medical terminology, disarticulation is the separation of two bones at their joint, either traumatically by way of injury or by a surgeon during arthroplasty or amputation.

Loquacious
Adjective.

Tending to talk a great deal.

Example: "My goodness that felt good! Honestly, the killing is fun, but really its the silence I value the most. That man was positively loquacious! He would not shut up!"

Ruminate
Verb

To meditate or muse; ponder.


The captured princess honestly blamed herself with the apparent furrow formed on her brow as she ruminated over her ill perceived future in the dungeon.

Tenacity
Perseverance or resilience in the face of challenges and/or obstacles.

Alumnus: I always answered when called on in class back in high school.
Alumnus's teacher: Yes, and while you hardly ever answered correctly, I admired your tenacity in never saying "I don't know".

Sesquipedalian
adjective
- measuring 1 1/2 feet; often used humorously of very long words; addicted to the use of very long words.
- polysyllabic; long
- characterized by long words; long-winded.

"The professor's sesquipedalian lecture was difficult to take notes on; by the time I finished writing out one word, he had started the next statement."
