Rp Thread


Death Goddess Cynder Shadows has just recently opened a school, called Shadows' School of Magic. It accepts students of high school age, from any background. Be it only that ability to summon a curtain object, or be it someone who is literally a god. This is a place where all youth can come to learn of the powers, and learn to control them.


The school is in a massive floating castle, isolated from civilization. The isolation is a safety measure, less likely to hurt someone if there is no one around. The castle itself take up miles of area, with a classroom for anything imaginable, as well as abundant living quarters for students and staff.

Hi, I've seen a lot of school role-plays going on lately, and felt like opening up one of my own. Though I have a couple rules.

No power play(Controlling someone else's character)
Decent Grammar(Don't put quotation marks("") around actions! Seriously! This bothers me to no end!)

Mother: Cynder Shadows

Bellitudo was conceived under a trick. Her true mother, Cyn, seduced her father under the guise as Cynder. Once Cynder realized the child she carried, the goddess disappeared for months, afraid the unborn child would harm her loved ones. The pregnancy was rough on her, and she was forced to return. There were incidents caused by the child's unchecked powers, yet Cynder chose to keep the child even after the disagreement of the others. She named her Bellitudo, meaning beauty. She believed that if raised in the light, Bell would grow to be a good person.

Cynder was right. Bell grew to be helpful, but she often didn't. Over time she became withdrawn, favoring the company of books rather then people. Every time she tried to help, her powers went haywire, and caused more damage then good.

She can absorb things - powers, energy, and life. She has to hold on to it to absorb more, so she can also copy powers but not as strongly. She might as well be immortal, as she can just drain youth out of things. If she drains too much, she becomes very jittery.

Long before the creation of the Hyperverse there was a single planet in a vast, dark void. This planet had both a dark side and a light side. On this planet lived an order of powerful, immortal people. One of which was Arken, AKA Daemon Shadows, the original God of death. One day Daemon decided he was tired with work and decided to 'create' a being that would follow his every order and do his work for him. Knowing no one would help him he time travled far into the future and chose someone to help him. This someone was Nariko Breigh, Queen of the Demons. Daemon kidnapped her and brought her back to his time, and soon she bore a child. A demon goddess who's power was unlike anything anyone had ever seen. Daemon named her Cynder, for The Cinders of fallen heros. Cynder grew quickly and with age became more powerful. Once she hit the age of ten her father put her under his control, flooding her with negative energy and unlocking a dark power that should never be tampered with. Yet somehow he managed to stay in control of her. For thousands of years her forces her to do his work. And mere months before the creation of the hyperverse Cynder broke the spell and regained control of her power, and 'killed' her father in a single, bloody battle. She then took his place as deity of death and help in the creation of everything. And in the time of the ancients she ruled with an iron fist along with her fellow comrades. But as the years passed her demenor became softer until she one day just disappeared. Forsaking her true calling she went to rule but a single universe, and there she's been ever since.

Wait, she can time travel?

Yup

In the mythology I made for one of my home-brew worlds, she's one of the rare Ancient Deities. They're extremely powerful with a large number of powers. It was their order that created reality. But's she's going to be more or less a background character for this, I'm going to focus on Bell more.

Oh. Isn't that a little over powered though?

That's why I'm using her as a background character.

She'll only pop up if she's making an announcement or something like that. Only short appearances here and there.
