Naesala smiled brightly at the girl beside her that had greeted her. “Hello, I’m Naesala.” She responded, introducing herself. She held out her hand.
Jas was more so just shoved into the mess hall by the other students. He just went with the flow, taking a seat near the end of the table. He had one seat next to him open, but the others were taken with students talking to one another.
Way to make a shy person feel even more isolated and lonely. Jas thought to himself with a silent sigh. He remained with his hood up and head down, trying to make himself seem as small and insignificant as possible. With a little luck he would remain alone, surrounded by strangers, but who knew what would happen, maybe someone would try and talk to him. That would be second best case scenario with the worst being subject to bullying, if such a thing was present in such a school. He just wanted to get out of the crowd and find a quiet place to draw, but of course he couldn't draw here, not until after whatever was happening at the feast happened. So silent and small he remained, awaiting for something, well anything really.

As the shadows signaled for the first years to enter the mess hall, Bell did so. She moved to a spot towards the back of the room. Most of the first years went out of their way to avoid her, at least those that knew who she was. Yes, she was the daughter of the headmistress, that was common knowledge. But what wasn't widely known was that Bell was the daughter of Cynder's evil alter ego, and her powers reflected that. Though not her personality.
"Ah~ Food. I wonder what they have here~" Restia said as she was walking along with Alex to one of the stables. He sighed, "You have dragged me into one of places haven't you?" "Of course~. Learning is good for you. So is socializing. Plus I wonder what they are doing here with all those magic stuff." He sighed again before sitting down with her at one of the tables, "I just hope it isn't problematic..."
Donovan and Dustin headed over to the tables as well, still bickering. They fell quiet once they arrived in the main section, and Dustin searched the faces for any pretty ladies to sit down next to. Eventually, he decided to just sit alone, and Donovan sat with him to Dustin's dissapointment. Etta, Aviva, and Alexis entered the hall, and Etta decided she'd sit at the end of a table, slightly scooted away from the group Naesala was sitting with - or more like forming around her. Aviva disliked having to sit next to anyone at all - so she decided she'd choose the end of a table alone.
((In about 10 minutes I’ll be MIA for a bit because unfortunately I have to actually do things at my job.))
Hana shook Naesala's hand with a wide smile on her face. "I'm Hana!" She giggled. "Nice to meet you too, Naesala!" She was definitely friendly alright. Hana felt inclined to tell them something, but decided against it. She looked around for the food. "Hmm...." Her stomach growled at her.
((Can I join this with Makson and Athena?))
((Check out the Recruiting Forum on the 1st post to submit an application))
Athena walked through the front door of the school and looked around her, trying to find somewhere to go. to someone looking at her, she looked confused
((I’m back!!))
Naesala smiled and took back her hand, chuckling as she heard Hana’s stomach rumble. “I wonder what they’ll offer to eat.” She wondered aloud.
She glanced back at Hana, “If you don’t mind me asking, what’s your ability?”

It wasn't long before the staff came as said. Though they too were shadows. They entered with large stacks of envelopes, passing them out to each student. Inside was a schedule, a map of the school, and a paper telling them what room they got. Bell opened hers as soon as she got it. She looked over the schedule first. There was a week before classes started, giving students time to settle in and become acquainted with their new home for the next several months. Then she looked at the other papers. She had gotten room 665, in the tallest tower of the castle.
Lucky for her, rooms are set up for one person each. With it being such a large castle, there was no shortage of rooms. The tower itself, which was on the norther side of the castle, house one hundred rooms. 600-700. It was likely a lot of the new students would be placed up there as well. After the envelopes had been passed out, food and drinks of every make and kind appeared down the center of the tables, along with plates, goblets, and silverware.

Jason looked up only to see the envelope and food before him. He blinked a few times taking in the sight of the food. It all looked amazing, but he wanted to see what was in the envelope first. He made quick work of opening the envelope to see the map, schedule and room assignments. He set the map and schedule aside upon seeing his room number. 666. He wasn't one to keen or familiar with superstitions, but just the number itself gave him a feeling of unprecedented dread. Luck didn't look like it would be on his side that day, but he didn't know, for all he knew it was just some number and he was getting all worked up over nothing. Or it could mean everything and show sign to his failure, or demise, either way he hoped it wasn't a bad omen.
With a small sigh he slipped the papers back into the envelope and set it in his messenger bag, to which he left hanging on the back of his seat. Once that was settled he grabbed a plate and silently grabbed the closest food, filling his plate to the brim. He hadn't seen luxury in this amount of food ever in his life, and he wouldn't let the opportunity go to waste. Quickly, quietly, and above all, politely, Jas chowed his way down through the plate full of food of all varieties, letting nothing stop him until he was satisfied.

Hana had taken hold of the envelope placed before her. Although, as soon as she had taken sight of the food placed before her, she almost forgot about the envelope. She shook her head. "Focus..." She opened the envelope to reveal a map, her schedule, and her room number 665. "Ah....So close..." She sighed in slight disappointment. She was actually hoping for room 666.
Hana slowly put everything back in the envelope, scanning over the table of food. She had never seen so much food in one place before. She placed the envelope in her lap and then turned to Naesala. "Oh, I'm sorry. I get easily distracted sometimes....Electricity and pyromancy." She said with a smile. Hana was never one for friendly faces, but as she realized 'this isn't like home'. She was ready to make some friends.

Naesala let out a light laugh, “It’s no big deal, it is exciting being here. Anyways, electricity and pyromancy? That’s awesome.” She responded, before picking up the envelope that was set in front of her.
She opened it gently, and took out the documents inside. She studied the map first, trying to memorize what general direction everything was in. After, she picked up the paper with her room number on it. 624. She shrugged and put the papers back in the envelope, setting it so that it sat just under her leg on her seat.

Athena found the mess hall just in time to recieve her envelope. She opened it and looked at her room number. 634. Then she looked at the map and tried to memorize it, like she saw several people in the room doing. She folded the map and put it in her pocket, then sat down at a random table. She started to eat so,e of the food, amazed at how good it tasted.
Etta looked at her map as well noticing everyone else doing it. Her room number was 692. She felt slightly disappointed for some reason, she wasn't sure why.
Donovan and Dustin both opened theirs as well, and looked over each other's shoulders to peak at what number they got. Dustin had 611, while Donovan had 698. They were certainly far apart, Donovan was rather released by this. Dustin was as well, maybe he could flirt with someone without Donovan mocking him....
Aviva checked hers, 600. She was hoping for something higher up, as she liked heights. She slid the envelope back in, but despite being disappointed she was glad she at least didn't have to share a dorm.
Alexis glanced at her envelope, room 678, but wasted no time for getting her food.

Naesala filled her plate with food, and started eating. It was better then she thought it would be, and she sat and ate silently, taking occasional sips of her water.
Hana went straight for the food. She started taking food from around her. She thought about how good it must taste. She eventually places it all on her plate. "Finally..." She starts digging in, marveling at the taste of the food.
She kept eating until she cleaned her own plate. She knew her limits. She sighed in satisfaction.

Naesala finished off her plate, and pushed it slightly away from her. She continued taking small sips of her water, wondering what to do now.
She wondered if there would be a presentation after the feast, or if they were allowed to leave to find their rooms and such.
