I want to state that I am not against some drama in Rp, but I do not want it to consume the rp. I have a rp partner (not on here) that is obsessed with it. I have already voiced that I do not like that much drama on several different occasions, so I need some advice to what I should do. It makes it really hard to be excited to rp with them, but I also am just starting to feel like I am obligated to rp with them because of how long I have known them.

Thank you for the link, but with it not being on here, Blocking them or talking to a mod will not do me any good as they are not on the RpR.

You might want to take a look anyway because it mostly talks about methods of approaching your friend and taking through your issues.

I have taken a look but I am still not sure how it will work on someone unwilling to think of anyone else's likes but their own.

If they aren't willing to listen or consider your feelings on it, why push the issue? If you don't like it, don't do it. If you're not having fun, why continue? You have no obligation to this person apart from being honest and true. That's the best we can do, not only for ourselves but for others. Everyone benefits when we are honest.

You might be long time friends, so perhaps your friendship goes beyond roleplay. Focus on that. Do other things with them and tell them you're not interested in writing with them. If they don't like it, hey, at least you were honest and you don't have to write with them anymore.
