"I'll try my best." She looked up at the sky.

Pichuun fell asleep.

Nalani stayed up the entire night, not even tired. Her mind strayed to different memories.

In the morning, at around 6:00, Pichuun woke up. "OK. Training starts after breakfast."

Nalani stood up." I'll go see if I can find anything to eat."

"Me too. I still don't know why I left my backpack with my sleeping bag."

"We were in a rush and you were being threatened." Nalani headed into the forest.

Pichuun punched the nearby tree. 4 apples fell on his head. "Ow."

Nalani did her best to hold back a laugh." Might wanna be careful."

Pichuun rubbed his head. "Hey, at least I got some fruit for breakfast."

Nalani smiled." I still don't want you knocked out by a few apples."

"Me neither. That would just suck. People would ask me: 'Have you ever been knocked out before?' and I would say: 'Yeah, by an apple.'"

Nalani laughed." Could be worse."

Pichuun laughed. "Yeah. What if a leaf almost knocked me out?"

"That would be a very heavy leaf or you would have a very sensitive head." Nalani giggled.

"Agreed. Here, take these apples." Pichuun threw 2 apples at Nalani.

Nalani caught them easily.

Pichuun chomped on an apple and swallowed. "Tell me when you're ready to start training."

"I don't really need to eat to keep up my strength. I was trained to be an assassin, not a fighter."

"Okay. So, what would you like me to train you in?"
