Jack's horse soon stopped and backed away. "Hmm? There's something wrong...I sense it too." He jumped off his horse and pulled his hat over his eyes a little as he walked into the woods that the dirt path led into.

Twilight stopped too, but Luna didn't sense anything. "Do you want me to come with you?" She asked as she got off of Twilight, letting the white mare stay behind with Flame.

"Only come if you want." He popped his knuckles and listened closely to see what was up ahead. He heard a shuffle and a snarl and he knew what it was. "It's best if you stay back right now." He took off his hat,vest,and shirt,which exposed his perfectly toned body and muscular torso.

Luna had been right beside Jack up until the point when he told her to stay back. She heard the shuffle and snarl as well but couldn't tell what it was, she knew it wasn't good though. "What is up ahead?" She whispered.

"A couple of infected coyotes. Take the horses and to back to the ranch, quickly." His eyes narrowed slightly.

Luna nodded. "Okay, be careful." She said as she went back to the horse and took them back to the ranch. She put them both in the stables and she went to the pornch and sat down.

Jack came back about forty-five minutes later. He had blood leaking from his mouth and bite wounds. He was carrying five coyotes as he threw them next to his porch. He walked into his house,leaving the door open for Luna while he walked to his bathroom sink. He started to run cold water on his bite wounds.

Luna was horrorifit to see Jack beaten up like he was. She stood up when she saw him and went inside when he did; closing the door behind her. She grabbed some bandages to help him tend to his wounds. She went into the bathroom but didn't say anything as she waited for him to finish runing cold water over his wounds. "Hot water will work better to kill bactira." She said quietly.

"It also stings a hell of a lot more." He sighed and turned off the water and he closed his eyes. His hands shook as he rubbed his chest a little.

Luna sighed. "Here, I can bandage your wounds if you want me to, but you will need this no matter what." She held out her hand with the bandages in it, offering them to him.

Jack winced a little as he took the bandages and started to wrap his arms up. He winced slightly more as he looked up at Luna. He blushed, finally noticing her beauty. "Umm...do have anywhere to go?"

Luna shook her head. "No, but I'll find a inn somewhere near by and stay there for the night." She was lying. She never staied at inn when she landed somewhere new, she usually just slept in the woods.

"Those Inns are worth crap. You can stay here for the night. I don't have an extra room but you can sleep in my room and I will stay on the couch." Jack sighed slightly.

Luna shook her head. "No, no. You should take your room and I'll take the couch."

Jack turned to her completely and rested his hand on her lower back as he smiled a little. "I am not going to let a pretty lady like you sleep on the couch and I live it up in a great room. That's just not how I work. You can have my bed. I will be sleeping on the couch."

Luna blushed slightly, she wasn't never the easiest person to persurad. "No way. I'm a guest in your house, you should have your room, it is onl polite to let the host sleep in their own bed, even if they offered it u[ to the guest."

"You will sleep there and you will not sleep on the couch and that is final. Discussion over." He walked around her and went back to his living room. He sat on his couch and kicked his black boots off.

Luna sighed, knowing that there was no use in trying to get Jack to let her sleep on the couch instead of his bedroom. She walked out of the bathroom and went into the living room. She leaned against one of the walls. "You are so stubborn, you know?"

Jack chuckled and smiled. "Yeah...I know." He tilted his hat down a little as he closed his eyes. He rested his hands on his muscular chest. Blood slowly started showing through his bandages.

Luna sighed at seeing the blood stains form on Jack's bandages. "I'll have to change your bandages tomorrow. Good night, Jack." She said as she went to his room. She sat down on his bed but she really didn't sleep much.
