Jadis walked out to the gate and folded her hands. She had made up the bit about borrowing the horse from the innkeeper. In reality, she was planning on summoning a horse. It had taken practice, but she had gotten quite good at the art.
After a few seconds, and a loud *SNAP!* Jadis had her horse. She allowed Thilga to mount the horse first and she climbed on behind him, wrapping her arms about his waist.
They waited by the gate for the others to arrive.

"Why aren't you such a gentleman?" Elva teasingly asked Ylasse. He just grinned and shrugged, to which she rolled her eyes. The events that had transpired with Elva's father seemed to have been forgotten.
Elva lined her horse up with Jadis. "Let's see how fast it is," she said, nodding at her horse. A servant opened the gate and the young half-elf immediately dashed through, Ylasse followed right after her, the light chain hanging from his hair swayed from left to right as he galloped forward.

Thilga let the horse wait for the others to pass through. He swiftly followed.
I hope this doesn't become something I regret... Thilga thought at Jadis.
That's just silly, replied Jadis. You've been dying for something to do since we've been running. This might keep us on the move, and keep our minds off of our troubles. It's a, um.. What do the humans call it?
Catch-22?
No, I think that's the opposite of what I mean. But it doesn't matter. The point is that everyone gets what they want.
Fair enough.
And so off they went, following closely behind the others.

Elva looked back at Jadis and Thilga. "You guys are falling behind!" she yelled at them. At that moment, Ylasse shot past her. "Why you little...!" she immediately sped up again.
Thilga was being silently urged by Jadis to move faster, but he held back so that they were just keeping up with the others. He was unsure of this horse' stamina, and he didn't want to use it all during an initial sprint. There was still a long way to go if he guessed correctly. Stopping for rest breaks would make it even longer for them.
I have it under control, Jadis.

When Ylasse reached the top of a hill, he stopped his horse and turned it sideways. Elva arrived right behind her. She glared at him. "When did you get so fast?"
Ylasse shrugged. "Practice?" he smiled
Elva manoeuvred her horse along side him and playfully smacked him in the back of the head.
They waited for the others to reach the hill.

Thilga was going too slow! This annoyed Jadis, even though she trusted her bodyguard. He was a close friend, after all. They had known each other for nearly forever.
Eventually, they pulled up on the hill beside the others. "They beat us by a mile!" Jadis teased Thilga aloud.
Thilga just grinned. That was rare, so at least Thilga was having fun.

"Well then, all fun aside," Ylasse said, "We need to get supplies." He looked ahead. "There's three villages ahead. One of them is out of the question, The inhabitants will kill us on sight."
Elva nodded. "Drow." she just said.
Elva nodded. "Drow." she just said.
Thilga nodded at Ylasse's suggestion.
Which town shall we go to then? Other than the town full of Drow.

"It's your choice." he replied. "Both are evenly well supplied and neither of them is particularly hostile."
"Why don't we go to the town on the left? It doesn't matter anyway, right?" Jadis laughed.
I guess it's settled, then? They did let us decide. Thilga's voice echoed in Jadis' mind.
Goodness, let them confirm, first. Jadis playfully rebuked him.

"Left it is!" Ylasse replied as he turned his horse.
Elva and Ylasse didn't dash off again, this time. They realized they couldn't keep doing that. There would be another day tomorrow, after all!

Told you. Thilga smirked. He was playfully shoved by Jadis, who was laughing and appeared to be having a good time. That was good- He hadn't seen her happy in a long time.
Thilga pulled the horse around to go left, and started him off at a trot.

If the group had any hopes of staying unnoticed, their hopes would have died quickly. Everyone recognized 'beautiful lady Elva' and 'the servant Ylasse' from the rumors and tales.
"Well, so far for keeping a low profile," Elva muttered only fotr the group to hear.

Indeed. Thilga agreed telepathically.
He stopped the horse at the market, and climbed off. Why don't I start a performance here, while the rest of you do your trading? It will at least lessen the attention you're receiving.
Jadis raised a brow at Thilga. I didn't know you were a street performer.
Thilga smirked at Jadis again. I dabble.
He walked off before anyone could say anything and immediately, strange things began to occur. Random little fires appeared everywhere, but they didn't burn anything. In fact, they were quite cool to the touch. They took on different shapes, such as small animals like birds, or squirrels. Thilga began to juggle fireballs in the middle of the street, allowing Jadis, Elva, and Ylasse to do their business. A small crowd had already begun to gather around Thilga, as he performed. Multi-colored fireballs appeared, and small fireworks went off around him. They didn't harm anyone, and soon enough the children in the street discovered this, which in turn caused them to jump and play with the fire Thilga created.

Jadis led her horse quickly to another section of the market, now much emptier thanks to Thilga's performance. She silently thanked the Stars for Thilga's ability, and began looking for supplies they would need for the journey.
Elva looked at Thilga for a while. "How does he do that?" she asked Ylasse.
"I don't know. It's not a form of magic I know about. I can create fire, and I can take away pain. But I don't know how to combine the two..."
"Jadis?" Elva asked, "Do you know how he does it?"

Jadis smiled knowingly. "It's this thing with our race. We can just... Harness the elements in a way that others can't. It's like the fire is a part of him, obeying his every thought. Hard to explain unless you were an Atlantian." She sheepishly chuckled.
"Come on, let's find what we need so we can get out of here quicker."
(Sorry I haven't posted in a while. )

"Allright then. I'll go get us some meat for on the road." Ylasse said before trotting off. "I'll go get some fruit then." Elva said. "Take look around and see if you can find anything useful. Elva smiled at Jadis and walked away."
"I suppose a trip wouldn't be much fun without basic cooking supplies... I'll go find what we need."
And with that, the three went their separate ways; Ylasse searching for meat, Elva searching for fruit, and Jadis looking for utensils to cook the food with.
After a while, Jadis found everything she was looking for, and more. Including camping supplies such as tents, small, magic folding cots with sleeping bags, lanterns (minus fuel, Thilga literally breathed fire,) and the like. Eventually she came back to where they were before they separated. "Are we all set? Anything else we need?"
