Eva and Ylasse had both returned a few minutes before Jadis. "Nope, I think we're good for now. Do you want to rent a room here, or camp in the forest? We need to make plans for tomorrow."

"Renting a room here will draw too much attention, especially now that Thilga's accumulated a group of fans... Best we camp out in the forest, somewhere hidden."

"Allright, that might be for the best indeed. Let's move back to the woods then, I think I saw a clearin when we were entering the town."

Thilga got the message from Jadis that they were moving out, so he closed his act with a bow, and then seemingly disappeared in a flash of flames, leaving all of the children with a handful of small silver coin.

In reality, he used his energy powers to teleport him to wherever Jadis was, using the fire and silver as a distraction.

It is best that we go before we are found by these people. People like these tend to look for people like me once he's disappeared... He moved quickly to jump on the horse, pulling Jadis up behind him. Jadis wrapped her arms around his waist, and they moved off at a trot, waiting for Ilva and Ylasse to follow.

Elva and Ylasse both mounted a horse and quickly caught up with Jadis and Thilga. "Alright, follow me," Ylasse said, and galopped up front. It wasn't long before they entered the forest, which was practically right next to the village. He kept low in his sadle to avoid low branches, Elva close behind. "Allright, here we are." he said as they rode onto the clearing several minutes later.

Thilga urged his horse to a gallop, and followed Ylasse and Elva quickly. Once they reached the forest, Thilga dismounted the horse, and unpacked the tent they had brought.


Once it had been set up, Thilga set off in search of tinder for the fire, which he would provide.

Jadis went about setting up the cooking supplies so that when the fire was ready she could prepare a proper meal.

Thilga worried too much.

At least, Jadis thought he did. Really, her near-assassination was bad, yes, but now he assumed everyone everywhere could be a threat! He was probably assessing Ylasse at that very moment. And the trees, too.

Jadis finished setting up a nice little cooking station, which would sit nicely over the fire but not encumber it in any way should someone need to tend it. She also had a small, makeshift table on a rock, which would serve for preparation and the actual consumption of the food.

As she was about finished, she thought she heard a noise.

"Thilga?" She called.

Elva looked up from where she sat cleaning her weapon. "Did you hear anything Jadis?"
Ylasse was already checking out the forest's edge. "I heard it too."
"You see, this is why I hate being a half-elf. You get to hear all the stuff!"
Ylasse grinned. "Can't help it."
"I don't care, give me your ears!"
"Nope." he replied dryly.
Elva turned away a bit, but quickly focused again on her surroundings. "What did you hear anyway?"
