Alezander made his way slowly back tohis room, doing his usual mannerism of brushing his hair back with his hand. With a little sigh, a pleased one, he opened his door to his room, and made his way to his bed, not bothering to undress. He fell on the bed and took a deep breath, relishing the smell and feel of his room. Though he had fed, he fell into a very light sleep, resting a bit to regain his energy.

But the sleep was broken, not but a couple of hours into the day. He stood, a little confused by what had woken him. But it was the sound of someone knocking at the door downstairs. He fluffed his hair and straightened his shirt, before he made his way quickly down stairs. The knocking continued as he pulled back the curtains momentarily to glance at a small group of people.

"That doesn't look good..." he said, dropping the curtain and placing the part of his finger that had been burned by the sunlight against his lips. He turned quickly, ignoring the knocking for the moment, and made his way upstairs. He knocked lightly on Zalia's door, before opening it and going to her side.

"Zalia, wake up. I need you to do something for me."

Zalia stirred at the voice of that special person. "Huh..?" She looked at him, sleepily, then heard the knocking. It was not long before she realized what was needed and rushed down to the door. Rubbing her eyes, she opened the door. "Hello?" She was worried when she saw the small group of people. Luckily, she looked completely normal. "Can I help you?" She was tired, being woken like that. But she had a good excuse, if they asked why she was sleeping during the day.

A man, dressed rather well in a fine suit, was the first to speak, and seemingly interested as to why she was indeed asleep at this time. "We are looking for the owner of the house. Is he in? We heard rumor that he arrived back home late last night." The other people nodded their head, saying things under their breath, but nothing comprehensive. A couple could be recognized from the festival from where Zalia and Alezander first met.

"Don't lie to us girl, we know he's there. Tell him to come to us!" said a female just behind the man in the suit. She was obviously not wanting to beat around the bush with why they were here.

Alezander had slipped back into his room though, pulling out his mirror quickly before scribbling something on a piece of parchment before slipping it into the surface. He tapped his fingers quickly, anxious to recieve what he was asking for.

Zalia rubbed her eyes a little. "He's in, yes. And those rumors are correct. But I'm sorry, you can't see him right now. He's sleeping. As you said, we came home late last night. There was an emergency that took us quite a few towns away, a family member was passing away. Right now he is sleeping, and I'm not about to wake him. He's been through a very rough time with losing a family member, and we're both exhausted from our late journey. If there is something you need, I'd be more than happy to help you, despite the fact that you woke me from my nap."

She looked at the woman and addressed her calmly. "Ma'am, I have no reason to lie to you. If you would please behave yourself and tell me calmly what I can do to be of assistance, I'd be more than happy to help. But I'm afraid I can't let you see the owner of the house. Perhaps later, when he's rested and recuperated from the rough time he's had. If it cannot wait until later, I will take care of it."

The woman apparently didn't like being told to 'behave herself' by someone who obviously held no position above her. But she merely scoffed and crossed her arms. The man touched the brim of his hat in a slight bow and continued speaking.

"I understand. But this is of dire importance. I would not request such a thing in any other case." His eyes quickly lifted from her though, as Alezander stepped behind her, inconspicuously staying out of the rays of light. The brightness from outside hurt his eyes, but he showed absolutely no sign of the effect.

"May I help you? Sorry I'm not quite prepared for guests, seeing as I hardly ever have any," Alezander said, in a smooth tone.

"We've had reason to believe that you are involved in some deaths that have happened around the village as of late. We've come to make a citizens arrest until we can hold a fair trial for you."

"A citizen's arrest, you say? This does sound quite important then," Alezander said, raising his left hand up and around Zalia's nose lightly, while raising his right hand palm up to his lips and opening it fully. He gave it a slight blow to the surface, and a light cloud of dust flew toward the group of people.

A few of them were surprised, at first, but then they seemed to slip into a dream-like state, just staring at the two. Alezander gave a little smile and closed the door on them, dropping his hands to his side.

Zalia blinked when she felt Alezander behind her. "Alezander! You should be in bed..." She looked at him, worried. When the deaths were mentioned, and then the arrests...Zalia was full prepared to panic. Thank heavens, Alezander came to the rescue. As soon as the door was shut, she stared at him. "What was that all about??" She glanced at the door, but then back to him. "An arrest? They can't do that, Alezander!" She gripped a part of his shirt, as if it would keep him there. "I won't let them take you away." She was worried he would indeed be taken from her.

Her happiness had a tendency to be fleeting.

Alezander chuckled a bit and pat Zalia lightly on the head. "Don't worry. That powder will make them forget why they were here for a couple of days. That should give us enough time to figure out what to do. Believe me, I don't like the idea of getting arrested any more than you do."

He raised his hand up to his forehead, rubbing it a bit. The sunlight from outside had given him a bit of a headache. "I kind of figured this would happen eventually though. I should have planned ahead for that."

Zalia listened to him. "It's okay. I'm here. I'll do my best to help out, alright?" She smiled at him, then leaned up on her toes to be able to kiss his forehead. "Go back to your room, okay? I'll keep an eye out here for a little bit, then I'll go back to bed too." She hugged him close, then just let him go. He was special to her.

"Alezander." She took his hand again. "I love you." Her words were nothing more than a soft whisper. But they were honest.

Alezander shook his head, and looked at her. "To be honest, I have had all the sleep I will need. You, on the other hand..." he said, taking her hand gently. "You need some sleep. A couple of hours is hardly enough, and I don't want you to wait for it." He raised her hand, kissing it lightly.

"Go to bed, Princess," he said, giving her a little push toward the stairs. "I'll have breakfast for you, when you wake." He paused, and then added, with a gentle smile, "I love you, too."

Zalia blushed at all his affections, and of course she just couldn't deny him after he said all that. "Goodnight...Prince." She stuck her tongue out at him playfully for a moment, then rushed up the stairs before he might give retaliation. She was indeed very tired, however, so she laid down on her bed and soon fell asleep.

When she finally woke up, it was when she should have. She felt better. She got up and started downstairs. "Alezander? Are you awake?"

"Of course," was the immediate reply from the kitchen. There was also the sound of something cooking on the stove, and a warm smell wafting from the oven. Alezander had guessed at what time she would wake, and had started breakfast for her. Eggs, bacon, toast, and juice were laid out on the table. He flipped the last few strips of bacon from the pan onto the plate.

"It has been a while since I cooked, so sorry if the taste isn't that great," he said, giving her a wink. The smell tempted him, and he was quite jealous that he couldn't test taste what he had made.

Zalia made her way towards the kitchen and smiled softly when she saw him. "Good morning." She walked over and sat down at the table, watching him cook. "It's alright," she said reassuringly, "I'm sure it's delicious." She smiled and would just watch him as he cooked. She liked watching him, just observing and seeing everything she could about him. "I hope I didn't sleep too long." How long had he been up? Had he been waiting for her?

"Did you get any sleep at all?"

"A little," he lied, not wanting her to think too much of it. Truth was, he had been in Marie's room, throwing out old letters and mostly everything that might remind him of her. That part of his life was gone, and he didn't want anything to bring it back up. Though being there made him nervous about everything with Zalia.

Marie had been just as innocent and kind before she had turned him. And then tore his heart from his chest. But he highly doubted that Zalia would do such a thing. She had no reason to.

He pushed a plate in front of her. "Eat up then." He leaned onto the table and looked at her with a grin.

Zalia smiled at the food. "Thank you." She looked at him for a moment, then with a blush she got up to kiss his cheek before sitting back down and eating. Alezander would find a furry lump on his foot as Shadow decided to come down and join them in the kitchen. Apparently the bunny liked sitting on Alezander's foot.

"Oh, he's probably hungry. There should still be some lettuce and stuff in the fridge, could you give him some please?"

Alezander looked to the little fluff on his foot. He let out a laugh, finding that the bunny was developing an odd habit. "I suppose I could," he said, gently sliding the bunny off and making his way toward the fridge. He was surprise that the rabbit followed him all the way there and looked up at him with beady little eyes as he took out the lettuce.

Alezander ripped a few strips of the green and placed it on a plate onto the floor. "At least I know I can make that taste good. I didn't even break a sweat."

Zalia watched him, and giggled at his comment. "Yes, there's no way you can mess up that." She smiled as she watched the bunny devour the lettuce as fast as his little mouth would let him. She herself finished breakfast rather soon, then took care of her dishes and turned to face Alezander. "So...what are we going to do today, Alezander?" For once they weren't running from anything, or trying to find anybody. It was...calm.

He gave a slight shrug, and looked down to her. "What is there to do? After all we did outside of the house, this place seems rather boring, doing you think?" He chuckled and then moved his face closer to hers.

"Of course, that was before we decided to confess our feelings to one another. That can open doors to whole new things." He closed his eyes and continued to grin. He lightly placed his hand on her head as he stood up straight. "I'm only kidding of course. I just wanted to see you blush again."

Zalia didn't disappoint. She blushed brightly as his face moved closer to hers. "E-eh?" What did he mean by that?! Opening doors to new things? It made her face burn an even brighter red. Her eyes closed as he put his hand on her head, though eyes soon opened to look up at him while she pouted.

After one stubborn moment, she took hold of his shirt and tugged him down, pressing her lips against his. If he was gonna tease her, she was gonna tease him back!

He was caught off guard by her suddenness, but quickly composed himself and leaned into the kiss. He placed his hand lightly on the small of her back and let it continue for a few seconds more before he pulled away. "Now, now, you can't just up and try to throw me off like that. That's not how it works."

He grinned, but still held his arm around her, looking down into her eyes. "I tease you, and make you blush... and you just keep up that cute innocent thing you do."

Zalia smiled at him. "Whoever said I was normal?" she said with a giggle. " 'That cute innocent thing' I do?" She tugged him back down, but this time her lips touched his cheek. "I spent my whole life feeling like I wasn't wanted. Like everyone hated me. So when someone actually cares about me, and loves me...I wanna show them that I love them too."

She hugged him then, nuzzling against him. "We should...have a date. We don't even have to go anywhere. We can just sit here and watch a movie, or something. Just be together. It can be a date."
