"Sorry, I thought I would let myself in," came a cool voice. In the light now, it was easy for her to tell who this person was. It had been the male from early. The one who said he had been staying at his aunt and uncle's house.
"Come now, Zalia. I just couldn't wait to see you again. After all those years of just watching... and then I finally spoke to you... I couldn't resist coming back for you."

Zalia paled. "W...watching? What...what are you talking about. Stay away from me. I swear it, I'll call the police. Get out of here!" Was this some sort of...secret stalker? She touched the ring on her hand and frowned at the boy.
"Alezander." She called his name, knowing the ring would bring him to her.
"Alezander." She called his name, knowing the ring would bring him to her.
He smirked at her, and then raised his hand up, palm open to hold a bloody ring in his finger. Alezander's ring. "I hope you weren't planning on calling him. Because I don't think he will hear you."
He closed his eyes, and drew closer to her. "I've watched you for a long time, Zalia, ever since you left your father. You've always been intriguing to me... being a half blood as well. It was like we were made for each other."

Zalia paled even worse. She grabbed the ring from the boy, sliding it on her finger. "...stay away from me." Something was moving inside her. The panic was pulling at her instinct. Her killer instinct.
"Go away. Stay away from me. Stay...AWAY!!" She screamed, claws slashing at him as she darted up the stairs. Her heart was pumping, the sound ringing in her ears. Blood. Alezander's blood. On the ring.
Kill. Kill.
"S-stop...stop it!" She shook her head a little and stumbled through the hall. She had to stop that voice in her head. It wasn't even her father's. It was hers.
Kill.

Fayn sighed a bit, as she ran up the stairs. "I should have expected so. I let her get too close to this... prissy boy." He turned his eyes to the stairs and made his way to follow her.
"Zalia!" he called out, reaching the top of the stairs. "Come now, I just want to explain everything." His eyes were searching each room as he passed them.

Zalia was...in Alezander's room. She was scribbling on a piece of paper, her heart pounding. She prayed this would work. She shoved the piece of paper at the mirror, praying it would take it. It had one word on it; 'Help'.
She was shaking. She was trying so hard to surpress the desire to destroy Fayn. "S-stay back! Please!" Hands kept flexing, as if rending the air with her claws would calm the bloodthirst that was growing. "What...what did you do...to Alezander?" She never should have let him go alone. She should have followed.
"Stay away, Fayn! Please!" Her breathing was getting heavy. She couldn't control herself much longer. The word was pounding in her head with each heartbeat.

Fayn heard her, and immediately drew himself to the door she was behind. And as he approached, a little note slipped out of the mirror, with neatly scribed words saying, 'As you wish'.
The door flew open, and Fayn looked around the room. "Please, just let me explain."

Zalia was leaning against the bed, taking gasping breaths. "EXPLAIN." She clenched her teeth, trying to keep back the growling that wanted to accompany the word.
Kill. Kill.
It came with each breath. The urge. She hoped the mirror would send help in time. "Explain...now...fast.." Nails dug into the bed, sharp claws piercing through the sheets. She was barely containing herself.

"I've watched you for so long, and it tore me apart that I couldn't come to you, and tell you how I felt. I needed to let you grow, to watch you be able to fend for yourself. Because I cared about you! And now, here you are with this... full blood. I just wanted to be near you. I was the one that loved you first!" He gripped the door firmly, and sighed. "I just want to be with you. Your Alezander is fine... he will recover. But please, just give me a chance!"
Zalia looked at him for a few moments. "You...left me alone...all that time? You watched me...you saw me suffer...and you never did anything?" She screamed, or more like yelled, and threw the sheets at him. "HORRIBLE! You're as bad as my father! You...you..."
KILL. The urge throbbed so roughly in her heart that she lost it. She lost control. Her heart stopped beating. Her eyes grew red. Fangs came, claws grew longer. No words. Just a brutal, ruthless attack.

"And, Oh Lord, take this sinner into your arms, and forgive him of his eternal sins," came a nearly serene male voice from the hall behind Fayn. The male didn't have time to turn, before and white glowing blade was shoved through his chest, from his back.
Fayn gasped for air, and slumped to the ground, and the white light from the blade enveloped him. When it was gone, nothing was left but the blade, and it's owner. A man stood, with long black hair, and bright blue eyes, and nearly the same hieght as Alezander.
He looked to Zalia, smiling at her in a calm way. He raised his hand to her, a faint white aura appearing, and he said quietly, "Calm, child of darkness and light. Your trials have passed for now."

Zalia froze. She shivered, and all the killer instincts pulled back. She collapsed to her knees and coughed as her heart started pumping again. Her eyes were wide. What had just happened to Fayn? She was scared. Shaking.
This man looked like Alezander. But... "Wh..who...are you?" She was terrified. Was he going to attack her as well. Tears brimmed in her eyes. She didn't want to die. Alezander. Alezander was out there somewhere.
"What...what did you do to him? T-to the halfblood?" She swallowed, her throat was burning. But she was too scared to move.

"Don't worry, he is downstairs... I found him outside. He just needs to regenerate." He looked as he saw the fear in her eyes. "I'm not going to hurt you. You are the one who called for help, after all." He smiled gently down to her, and held out his hand.
"Come, I will escort you to your room. Alezander will visit you once he is ready. I'm afraid he is a gruesome sight as of now."

Zalia swallowed. "You...you were on the other side of that mirror?" She took his hand and shakily stood up. "Th...thank you." She sniffled a little. "I...I was a gruesome sight, just a minute ago. I wouldn't have been able to stop myself if it wasn't for you." She bit her lip.
"Will he be okay? How did Fayn beat him? He was just a halfblood..." She let the man take him to her room, though.

The man shook his head, and said quietly, "That is something you will have to ask him, when he wakes. But for now, I will stay here, and watch over you both, to make sure that nothing else comes to harm you."
He smiled as he opened her door, some how knowing which was hers, and let her hand go.

Zalia sighed. "...alright." She stepped in her door, but then looked back at him. "...what's your name?" She wanted to know the man's name. Who he was. Why he looked so much like Alezander. And why he was on the other side of the mirror, and how he had gotten there so fast, and why he had even helped her.
But the only question she asked now was what his name was.
But the only question she asked now was what his name was.
"Zavien," he said, bowing his head a little to her as he stepped away. "Now, sleep. And I promise you, that no harm will befall anyone in this house, unless they are an uninvited guest." He closed his eyes and smiled a child like smile, and then turned, leaving her at the door, his long black hair flowing behind him.
Zalia watched him step away and then leave her door. "...thank you." she whispered. She would then go into her bedroom, leaving the door open just in case. She scooped up poor Shadow, who was hiding on her bed, and laid down with him. The covers were pulled up, but it took her a while to sleep.
She had almost become a monster again. And her father hadn't even pushed it along. That scared her more than anything. She looked at Alezander's bloody ring, which was still on her finger that she had put it on, and started crying.
And, like a child...she would cry herself to sleep.

Near the morning hours, since their events had happened not long after they had awoke, Alezander slowly made his way up the stairs, holding his head since he had a huge headache. He sighed heavily, and then pushed open the door to Zalia's room to see if she were alright.
He looked into the darkness for a long while, before calling out her name.

Zalia heard her name. Tugging her from a dark, dreamless sleep. Her eyes opened and she sat up, looking towards the door. "...Alezander." She started crying, and she was out of bed in moments and running over to him. But she stopped short of touching him. He may still be hurt.
So she just stood there, a foot or two away from him, hid her face in her hands, and cried. It was all her fault. Fayn had said so himself, he was following her, watching her. If she had never come here, if she had never fallen in love with Alezander, then he would never have gotten hurt. It was all her fault.
"I'm...terrible.."
