Starla looked at him.”Do you get annoyed by people who ask about you and her?” She asked.

"Why does everyone presume people are in relationships? nobody can be satisfied with people being alone?"

“People are curious! We can’t help it. Plus you and her seem to like each other.” She said then quickly left.

Adi rolled her eyes.”Oh Kodoku just don’t mind them when they ask. I don’t.” She said.

"A long time ago, someone said curiosity killed the cat. Now, hes watching from whatever afterlife happens to exist, and realizing he wasted his time."

Adi nodded.”I see. Hey uh... never mind.” She said almost asking something.

"Ok." he said, not being a hypocrite.

Adi sighed. She really wanted to ask but she couldn’t... did he like her? How does she feel about him? She doesn’t know.

"So...." he looked at her. "what now?"

Adi looked at him.”What?” She asked.

"What what?"

Adi tilted her head.”Why were you looking at me?” SHe asked.

He paced around his room, thinking. "Let's see, the rune worked, as well as the shield, so I should be able to modify it to work on command..."

Starla hummed walking the halls of the school.

He walked out of his dorm, measuring the arm he carved the rune into earlier.
