"Oh hi - thanks - My name is Lanya."

"nice to meet you, i'm Lee. need a bit of a tour?"

"Oh yes please! I got a letter and followed the instructions - I put a ring in and here I am - If I'm honest I didn't really expect it to work!"

"hehe, most people expect it's a prank of sorts. well, follow me!"

"sure!"

"so, i can't exactly show you the WHOLE school, i mean it's one building the size of a small town, i don't think we have quite enough time for that, but i can show you the garden, the dorms, the lake, the cafeteria, and the class rooms. that works?"

"Can we start at the Cafeteria - I'm starving!"

"OK then, follow me." he led her into the Cafeteria.

She looked around her amazed - the school was enormous - how would she ever find her way around. Lee seemed really cool and she was hopeful that she might actually be making a friend. "So, um, have you been here long? You seem to know your way around and stuff."

"well, i got here about five months ago, and most people you meet here will be about that long or less. most of the older students left or became teachers."

"OMG - we're all kinda newbies then?"

he smiled. "you could say that."

"Awesome! I thought I'd be the new girl! I mean, I know I am the new girl, 'cos like I just arrived, but I mean I thought I'd be the only new person here.
So did you get a letter too?"

"yes, we all got a letter. pretty interesting way of getting here, huh?"

She smiled at him. "yeah!"

"so, now you know the basics, want to see the secret room?"

"Secret Room?"

"yep, secret room."

She was really excited now and so happy to have found a new friend. She had had quite a lonely childhood and one of the things she was looking forward to about coming to school was making new friends. If Lee was anything to go by - the kids here were cool. Where she was from the kids were just not nice - certainly not to her.
At least here her differences might be accepted here, perhaps even appreciated.
"Yeah - sure!"

"great! follow me." he led her outside and round the back of the school. a bouncer of sorts standing there, infront of a slightly different colored patch of the wall.
