"Ok." he said, not being a hypocrite.

Adi sighed. She really wanted to ask but she couldn’t... did he like her? How does she feel about him? She doesn’t know.

"So...." he looked at her. "what now?"

Adi looked at him.”What?” She asked.

"What what?"

Adi tilted her head.”Why were you looking at me?” SHe asked.

He paced around his room, thinking. "Let's see, the rune worked, as well as the shield, so I should be able to modify it to work on command..."

Starla hummed walking the halls of the school.

He walked out of his dorm, measuring the arm he carved the rune into earlier.

Starla saw the guy and saw what he was doing but didn’t know exactly what the thing he was holding was.”Hi. What is this thing?” She asked.

He looks up, raising an eyebrow. "It's a measuring tape." He gestures at the tape, hiding the rune.

Starla nodded.”Oh ok.” She said as her eyes started to spark with lightening and her hair went on fire.

He took an involuntary step backwards, grabbing a knife sheathed at his belt, gripping it tightly but not drawing it.

“What?” She asked looking around.

He takes another step, looking for an easy way to exit the conversation.

Starla looked at her hair.”Oh yeah I got powers now. I can’t control them yet sorry.” She said.

He releases his grip on the dagger, visibly relaxing. "Oh, phew."

Starla nodded. Her necklace she wore died down making the electricity and fire disappear from her eyes and hair.

Starla didn’t notice when her hair flamed or when her eyes came to be electrifying. She smiled.”Better?” She asked as she noticed her hair turn back to normal.

He nods. "Yeah, much." He resumed walking and measuring his arm, as well as sketching in a small notebook, drawing what looks like a large glove.
