He picked up the remains of the rune. "You were trapped in there?"

Darkness: "Yes, but not anymore, thanks to you!" She... it, smiled. It was impossible to see it, but it was there. "hee hee, i don't know how this works, do you get three wishes now?"

"Um... why were you trapped inside the rune?"

Darkness: "Because i like having fun!"

He frowned, not sure what she meant by that. "Wh-what kind of... fun?"

Darkness: "Lets not focus on that just yet, i feel like i should find a way to repay you.."

He blinked, then shrugged. "ok?"

Darkness: "Hmm..." they thought for a second. "have you lost anything? i'm good at finding things."

"Just my memories." He responded, somewhat sarcastically.

"S-sorry."

Darkness: "OH! wonderful! i can do that! is that what you want?"

He thought about it for a bit. "I'm... not really sure. WHat if there was a reason I lost them?"

Darkness: "probably! something falling on your head, getting hit by something hard enough, i doubt it just suddenly happened."

He nodded. "yeah, but that isn't what I meant. What if it was supposed to happen?"

Darkness: "Well! if you signed a contract saying you wouldn't regain your memories, you can use the excuse you forgot. Besides, aren't things happening that aren't supposed to so.... entertaining?"

He blinked. "What do you mean things that shouldn't be happening are happening?"

He thought about it. "Yeah, I want my memories back."

Darkness: They examined. "Hmmm. You should probably leave the cave beforehand!"

He frowned. "Why?"

Darkness: "Well, reasons!"
