It's been two years since the ancient Anin Tribe had sent the strange quartet of mercenaries on their journey to collect the nine legendary gemstones that would grant their strange weapons new magical abilities. They've already obtained the gems that would grant them the ability to use lightning, fire, earth, and light based magic, and now, they're currently going after the one that would grant the abilities to use water based magic within the nation of Canis Majoris. Their travels had led them to all over the nation of Canis Majoris in search of their treasure, during the time, they had taken up some work as mercenaries to let them keep a steady income during their travels. While they weren't thrilled about killing for money, they enjoyed the idea of practically being paid to travel. Though, just a few months after arriving in the nation, they had come across an odd wanted poster written in blue ink, but one that offered a fantastic reward.

Last spotted on the outskirts of Caleah, he has been accused of several murders. He has snow white hair, wears a dark cloak, and can often be seen with a small, pink haired creature clinging onto his shoulder. He is armed and dangerous, one should take extreme caution when engaging him in battle. Bring him in dead or alive.
A reward of 25,000 Axelias has been offered to anyone that can bring him in.

The reward is what initially caught their eyes. 25,000 Axelias would provide them with enough money for next twenty years, possibly longer, but then the name caught their curiosity. Their last names were Thalias, occasionally they would overhear their parents talking about someone named Cain. They had heard the name through town as well, but no one would ever tell them who it was. There wasn't any record of him in their home, so they weren't sure if this was some crazy coincidence or something deeper. They decided to take up the job in order to see who this man was. There had been some rumors of a man with a matching description traveling about Canis Majoris with a fairy of his own, so that only added to their immense curiosity. They had now begun to make their way towards Caleah, where sometime along the way, they run into your character.

Now, your character can play a number of different roles. Perhaps your character is a mercenary themselves, heading after Cain in hopes of reaping in the reward, perhaps your just a curious traveler that wishes to tag along on any kind, or perhaps you personally know Cain (we'll discuss this one beforehand) and wish to prove his innocence, of course other ideas are more than welcome. Whatever role you decide to take up, I'd like your character to join the quartet of mercenaries for the journey.

Cain Thalias is an odd fellow for certain. The strange mage is perhaps best known for his extremely devout nature of the Spirit of Light, Axelia. He's traveled about the world in hopes of reintroducing the religion to a mainstream audience, traveling to Canis Majoris in hopes of showing them the light and the truth of the Good Lady. In his time in Canis Majoris, he has preached to a large number of people, some have began following Axelia, while others have simply ignored him, but none can deny that he's had an influence on people. In addition to his work as a preacher, he has been called upon to do a number of exorcisms and he has even been called upon to kill those who have shrouded themselves in Kirai's darkness, which has led to some accusations of cold blooded murder, though none of these have ever been true.

Until now, the young priest was doing a sermon like normal, preaching and praying over those that needed it. It seemed someone has had enough of his overly religious nature and wanted to get rid of him, framing him for a number of gruesome murders. While Cain was perfectly innocent in the matter, the evidence was pointed towards him, making him a wanted criminal. Fearing for his own life and the life of his beloved fairy companion, Cain fled from the scene upon being called out by the guards. This only made him look even more guilty at this point, which eventually led to them putting a 25,000 Axelia bounty on his head. Soon, he runs into your character, what happens from that point is up to you.

Now, like the previous plot, you've got a number of options to choose from at this point. You can be a mercenary that has gone after him to get the reward, but you eventually stop the assault because either you've realized he was innocent or an outside force has stopped you. You can choose to side with him and help him prove his innocence, or you can be a guard pursuing him. Of course, there's a number of options for you to choose from if the ones I've suggested didn't interest you.

Eventually, I'd like to have both plots converge into one, with Azariah and Alice meeting up with Cain, leading up to the revelation that they're actually siblings. The plot with Azariah annd Alice will begin in the City of Rings, Macot while Cain will start up near the Toadfen River, so you expect plenty of adventure, and I will like to include some combat scenes between Cain and your character if they play the mercenary, though it'll mostly be freeform, just don't make it where you're unbeatable. This is gonna be a long term, preferably a 1x1 RP, but a small group of 3 people could be acceptable. We'll be doing this in a PM as well. Romance (MxF only, please.) is a possibility, but don't let it take over the purpose of the plot and don't let that be the goal of the story, none of the siblings are actively seeking a relationship, so don't be disappointed if your character fails to woo them. I need at least a paragraph per post, but upwards of 2-3 would be greatly appreciated. I'm not expecting your grammar and spelling to be perfect, but please make an effort. All races are welcome to join, but just realize that non-humans will have a harder time getting around Canis Majoris due to their reputation in the nation. This takes place in a medieval time setting with plenty of magic. Shoot me a PM or reply below if you wish to try this out.
