I don't really know what to say, you should know the basic plot from when i first proposed this, so....

Reporting for duty!

"good. any recent casualties?"

"Not that I know of," the magician shrugs. "I haven't encountered anyone belonging to the other elements in a while, so I suppose that this must be some kind of inactive period."

"understood. keep up your work."

"Yessir," he drawls, giving the deity a quick salute of sorts. Perhaps this time of quiet meant that greater things are to come. Best to be prepared for them.

"now then, i am going to plan."

(I dunno where to put my character in, so I'll put her in now)

Era glanced through the window of her old home: a large, wood cabin in the outskirts of a now destroyed village. Everyone and everything around her was now gone. The green grass now burned, the once happy, bubbly villagers now corpses, the homes now in shambles, everything. She was all alone.

The breeze happened upon her, as Era stood upon the ledge of this two story cabin. Barefooted around glass shards that remained on the window, Era reached her hand out towards the wind. The chilling breeze merely brushed against the girl's hand, before she climbed down to the charred grass. Era took cold steps forward, as miles of plains stood before her.

"Everything is so silent, tonight," Era murmured, as the wind blew against her. "Despair lines the destructive path of ruin in this world. Why must it have to come to this?" Era halted, as she kneeled down on the charred grass, that once held gorgeous plants. "...Why can't we live in a peaceful world?"

A small, white bunny hopped up to her.

When Lotal had lugged away to do his planning, Vincent turns around and walks a few steps before entering a well-timed portal to leave the beast's realm. He is swallowed by the opening and disappears leaving behind only small embers that fall to the ground and die.

The magician finds himself back where he was before, scouting out a field where a skirmish had taken place for any survivors he could, in the case that they were aligned with a different element, take prisoner or perhaps kill. The scars of battle are fresh here, in what appears to have once been a thriving village of sorts. The buildings that still stand now are mostly ruins, blackened by the punishing fires that had ravaged the place. Even the plants, shriveled and dying, are evidence of what had taken place here.

Vincent approaches the village ruins now.. He snaps with his free hand, and he brings his now lit index finger to light the cigarette now in his mouth. It's a nasty habit, one that he had picked up with the beginning of the war, but it was convenient for him.

"I sure hope he's got a good plan," he mutters, referring to Lotal. "These skirmishes haven't been getting us much, even though we've been winning them..."

Entering the village, he shifts his gaze to and fro. At a first glance, there doesn't seem to be any life here at all.

suddenly, he flew past Vincent and off into the high mountains.

As he takes in the cigarette smoke, Lotal flies past him out of what seems to be absolutely nowhere. He gasps, at the same time inadvertently huffing up copious amounts of smoke. Pulling the roll from his mouth, Vincent bends over in a coughing fit. Smoke leaves his mouth in puffs, kind of like how a dragon would look.

"What the hell..." he manages between coughs. Just like the beast to do something like that. He straightens up and recomposes himself, his eyebrows knitting together in an annoyed frown. "Where's he even going."

The magician clears his throat, flicking his cigarette a few times before placing it back in his mouth. Anyone in at least a two mile radius probably knows that he's here now.

he landed in the mountains, walking into a cave and into the darkness.

meanwhile, he watched Vincent from a burnt roof.

Still frowning, the magician directs his gaze back to the village's ruins as he continues walking. There are even corpses still scattered around, still fresh from the skirmish. He doesn't even blink as he passes by. Still no life to be seen. The remaining villagers have either died or escaped.

"Is this all?" He sticks his free hand into his coat pocket. There's nothing notable here at all, perhaps it is time to move. "So much for more casualties..."

He stepped on a twig by accident.

Vincent whips around at the sound, turning up to see a figure standing up on the roof of one of the burned buildings. He whips his hand out of his pocket and opens it. Fire rises up from his palm.

"Show yourself," he calls out to the figure, his eyes fixed on that roof.

He leapt off the house and landed in front of him. "well that was annoying."

"What element do you align with?" the magician asks, shifting his palm down as the other person lands.

"most people would start with a hello."
