BREAKING NEWS: Local police officer Ryan Hamilton has gone missing. The 41-year-old police officer went missing approximately 3 hours ago. He was last seen at the Port Orchard Police Station before he left to go on patrol. He has not returned since. Anyone with information about this is to go to the police about this.
At 7:00 PM, the local news alerts the residents of Port Orchard, a small, sleepy town on the west coast of the United States, that a local police officer has gone missing. This officer, Ryan Hamilton, was a respected figure of the town, and very close to a lot of people. As such, a lot of people will try and go to find him.
The superstitious and the imaginative residents of the town think it's the Mimic, a local cryptid if you will, that has no real proof of it existing. Legend goes that the Mimic is sentient, and it can shape shift into anything it wants, even you.
More or less, this is a Stranger Things type of deal, where characters try to find the missing person, as well as try and stop whatever entity is causing trouble.
Note: I will be playing the Mimic, Ryan Hamilton, and every other NPC, as well as one other character who will be investigating the mystery.

On very, very, rare occasions there may be unexplained, POSSIBLY supernatural events. Minor "environmental" magic. Perhaps implies the existence of a deity or supernatural entity. Or perhaps it's just tricks?

A peaceful setting, but with a chance for small fights and struggles to break out on a very small scale.
