Jenna walks throughout the markets, clutching a small yet easily hidden purse. She had wondered out of her usual home to find something she'd been looking for for ages. An object so rare only a few had found it or had bought it from the stores who were lucky enough to have stocked them.
Alas, it seemed every store she stopped at was devoid of such. Then suddenly, as she turned away in defeat, she saw it.
Her eyes widened in newfound happyness as she darted over and looked at the shining icy blue crystal resting on a stand in the jewel shop of jewels and magic.
While it looked cold, it radiated a small warmth to those who were skilled in ice and fire magic, and kept the user warm no matter the climate. It was found in the depths of wastelands where ice and fire often collided to form this odd but valuable object. She desperatly wanted it. It was the last one in stock, kept under a protective spell. The store was crowded, full of others who also wanted this item.
With a nervous gulp, Jenna peers up and looks at the clerk.";

Suddenly, the whole store when quiet with a small 'clack' noise. Nearly all of the people turned to look at the entrance, where a tall man in armor walking forward, a 'clack' noise emanated whenever he set his lance that he was using as a staff hit the cold stone floor.
He seemed to radiate an aura of magic and the people simply stared at the man, who seemed to radiate authority. He stopped to look at Jensara for a moment, then his gaze drifted to the icy blue crystal that was near her.
He looked away then continued his slow walk and dropped a few golden coins on the desk and asked the clerk, "Is this enough for the crystal?" He asked, his golden eyes seeming to pierce through the man.

''Well, I would accept your offer but another buyer offered me more that.'' The clerk snorted, arms crossed. ''After all, this crystal is hard to locate and obtain. It takes about 90yrs just for one to be formed.'' He added.
Jenna ears drooped as she looked at the man, and then at Gilliam. Her wings folded tightly under the cloak she wore. ''S..Sir? Have you ever heard of the Crystal of cold fir...fire?'' She stammered, ignoring the unusual silence.

Gilliam first asks, "How much for the crystal then? Is it a betting war or already a sale?"
He then looks at Jensara, simply staring curiously at her, analyzing her and he lifted his foot, which the stone floor seemed to be grateful of, as if it had a great weight lifted off its metaphorical back. He put the foot down again, the stone floor grinding under the pressure once more.
He continued to walk to Jensara, then circled around her to look at her tattered wings. "A DemiAngel, eh? And were you talking to me when you said that, wielder of ice and fire?"
The room still seemed to have lost its voice, everybody was still silent, only a hollow whispering of the wind sweeping through the entrance.

''Yes, I was si...s..sir.'' She replied, moving her tattered wings slightly. ''I am Jenna, demiangel of fire and ice. I'm not as violent as my kin are, I wish only to get this jewel to aid me in m...m..m..my magic.'' She replied, standing strongly in place, lookng back up at him.
The clerk snorts. ''A betting war I know. The one who betted on it said they wanted it for sure.'' He replied.
Jenna gulps nervously, shattered halo held up by crooked horns.

Gilliam looks Jensara in the eye for a while longer, then his gaze drifts up slightly to her ravaged halo, then down to her dull claws.
"What exactly happened to you?" He asks, kneeling down. "I haven't seen any DemiAngels that are in such bad a shape." He says, getting back up, the whistling of the wind silenting.
"And are you the one that wants the crystal so badly?" He asks, leaning on his lance at he tries to get back up.

''I am a controller of fire and ice, and I beleive this gem should be mine.'' She replied, standing firmly in place with a stern glaze. She wasn't very tall, rather short for her species. Her horns were dirty, unclean and unkept from age. ''Why would you want it?'' She asked him.
"I am a traveler, and I like magical items. I am a user of magic myself." Gilliam says in his deep voice. "Since you believe this gem should be yours, I shall buy it. Unless, of course, it was bought already. He gets up to his full height and puts his lance back on his back, his large broadsword in its sheath.
(Sorry that I havent posted in a long time. I work every day, crazy hours.)
''But I saw it first.'' She grumped, glaring. ''I doubt you even know how to use it without breaking it.'' Her eyes moving to look at the shiny yet somewhat fragile crystal.

(That's all right)
Gilliam turned to the demi-angel once more. "I meant that I would buy it for you. Although I am quite intreauged by this crystal, you believe this to be yours, thus it most likely is." He turns to the shopkeeper. "How much is the highest bid for the crystal?" he asks politely.

''Currently the highest bid for this fine crystal is 900 crystal coins, worth $9,189 in normal cash.'' The shopkeeper replied, polishing one of the see through coins that were slightly green from age.
