I know most probably don't care or anything, but just wanted to ask for anyone willing to to have some nice thoughts for my Jack Russel Terrier, Daisy Mae, who just passed away after getting hit by a car. She was eight years old roughly, and about the sweetest dog you'd ever meet. I miss her terribly, and wasn't really sure what to do aside from get her ready for burial, and figured I'd share some good memories here.
Daisy was the runt of her litter, and about the tiniest little ball of fur you'd ever seen when we first brought her home. She was so small that she used to climb up on the couch and lay herself on the back of your neck to take a nap, and was small enough to where she could just sit there for hours, and you'd hardly notice. Her favorite thing to to was to play tug of war and fetch with a tennis ball, and almost always had one with her wherever she walked around. She was friendly to everyone, and especially loved little kids, mainly because she could easily reach their face to give kisses.
I'm sorry to anyone that reads this and prefers I not post such things here, but I needed to let a little of something, grief I guess, out. I'm going to miss her a lot. Thanks to anyone that cares.
Yours truly, Jason.

I'm sorry to hear about your loss. I sympathize with you greatly and totally understand the need to talk about it. I lost my two rats a few years ago. It took a while to sink in, but when it did it was terrible. I still enjoy getting the chance to talk about them even if it does bring up bittersweet memories.
You shouldn't have to apologize to anyone though. People who don't understand the bond between humans and animals are seriously missing out. The loss of a companion, no matter what species, is tragic. You can rest assured that there's at least one person who understands what that's like and really does care, because I've been there. It's hard, but the best thing you can do for her now is to continue to remember her.
