Recently I've had no choice to unfriend someone for general reasons pertaining to my RP rules. However, even though they're no longer on my friend's list, I ended up seeing an update from them in my news feed anyway.

Is that supposed to happen? Is it because I only broke the tie on my end (which I don't think I did...)? Is it because they still have me on their friend list somehow? And of course, is there a way for me to get rid of that notification? I don't mind having to clear out my whole feed, but I'd prefer it not to be an option.

EDIT: I think I realized the problem. It had to do more with my character's connections more than my own friend list. My apologies!

You have to fully break friendship with them on here. If you only cut your ties, then you'll still see stuff from them. So you made it they aren't your friends, but you are still there's.

That's the thing, I did break the tie completely for both ends, and I still see their update.

I'm considering doing a swift block and unblock to make sure they still don't have me friended, but I'm not sure if that'll work. I also don't want to resort to that kind of option just yet, even if it is temporary.

I think sometimes it takes a bit for it to remove stuff fully. I know as I've removed someone, and it takes a bit.

No. In fact, their update was of a photo upload on one of their character profiles.

I know this takes a while to occur once an unfriending (either side or completely) to take place. Give it an hour maybe? Even when unfollowing a friend's characters it takes a bit, as if the system needs a bit of time to refresh, as it were.

If it persists, perhaps send a bug report to Kim.

Thank you! I just may do that. Their upload was made a few days ago and it has yet to vanish, so I'm thinking it's a possible glitch.

Update: Never mind. I think I found the problem. It was a mere oversight. Apologies.
