I've always loved Harry Potter.
Recently, I've had a sudden urge to roleplay with HP characters and mess around with the HP world, in general. I've spent a long amount of time trying to find a good RPer, but failed miserable. Perhaps it's due to my pickiness, or maybe good things are just (exceedingly) difficult to find.
So, I'm trying a different approach. Instead of replying to already made threads, I'm creating one. If this doesn't work out, I'm swallowing a tide pod (I'm joking, I swear).
First Things First™
• BE DESCRIPTIVE. I cannot stress how much it annoys me when I send, like, five paragraphs and the person I'm roleplaying with sends a very terrible one-liner. You do not always have to match the length I sent, but put some sort of effort into your replies, please. The world would be a better place if we had more descriptive rpers.
• DON'T CONTROL MY CHARACTER. Quite annoying. Just don't do it, okay?
• Although, romance will typically be brought into this roleplay, it is not the only thing that matters. Our OCs will be going on adventures, facing Life-And-Death situations (eventually), doing crazy stuff. Miss me with that lovey, dovey, stuff. There's nothing wrong with it, of course. But, too much of it can be a bit annoying.
• For the love of God, don't make your OC a Mary Sue (or Gary Stu.) For obvious reasons.
That being said, this is the idea I want to use for the roleplay. Keep in mind that this is merely my own idea, and you're more than welcome to provide your own ideas. Quite frankly, I'd love to hear them.
I like the idea of Slytherin x Ravenclaw. I think they'd make an amazing team. I'd prefer to play the Slytherin, and I have a small idea as to how their relationship would be. They'd hate each other from the start. Constantly bickering and insulting. Eventually, they do start to develop feelings for each other, however, this will happen after a long time. After misunderstandings occur along with jealousy and uneasy feelings and all that jazz. I live for slow burn, as you can tell. Even after they're officially together, they'll still continue on with their bickering, of course. Below is the form for my character:

House: Slytherin
Appearance
• actual appearance: wavy blonde hair and light brown eyes with thick eyelashes and freckles scattered across her cheeks. she is about 5'6 and lanky, having long legs and arms.
• attire: when paris is not wearing her Hogwarts robes and uniforms, she is dressed in sweaters and leggings with silver ballerina flats. she wears a few flower rings on her right hand.
Personality
• positive traits: independent, intelligent, clever, decisive, loyal (to those she cares about)
• negative traits: slightly selfish (sometimes, she can only look out for herself), spoiled, distant
• neutral traits: businesslike, reserved, mischievous, adaptable
• habits/ idiosyncrasies: when she's thinking hard about something, paris bounces her legs, rubs her temple and fiddles with her fingers. on a normal day, she has a habit of turning her flower rings around her fingers, chewing on her lip, chewing on the sleeve of her shirt, chewing on her hair, chewing in general (she has a problem).
Extra: Paris' parents died due to their house catching on fire, and she was taken into foster care at a young age. Her real parents were both Half-bloods. Her new parents are Muggles and treat Paris like a little princess. Due to this unconditional love, she possess spoiled qualities. Due to having Muggle parents, she is teased by her fellow Slytherins of being a 'Mudblood.'
