Blanca looked at him after the fire on the ground dissipated. "For being blind, you're pretty good." She smiled and sat down she stared at the ground and a little flame appeared above a blade of grass, though it didn't touch the grass.
"I'm not entirely blind." Aylen smiled. I can feel my environment. I know you are standing there-" he pointed at her, "-and that he is standing there-" He pointed at Nomti, "-and that there are three dead wolves there, there and there," he continued, each time pointing to a different dead wolf. "You could say its a form of magic."
"You're both good with what you do," Nomti smiled at them both, "Now... Could one of you please get these spikes out of my back?"
Aylen nodded. "Of course, I'll be glad too." he moved over to Nomti and proceeded to pulling out the spikes one by one, as painlessly as possible. When he was done, he went over to his back and pulled out a canteen of water, throwing it to Nomti. "Here, you're probably thirsty after all that running."
"Nope. I live way far south, the land of the pyramids... Aside from that, I'm a demigod of sorts... Or a mortal embodiment of one: Anubis. We don't get thirsty... Not often anyways, and not after something like that. I could probably sprint like that for half a day and only be a little thirsty," he smiled a bit proudly but took a small sip anyways; it was refreshing if nothing else.
"I'm Nomti by the way."
"I'm Nomti by the way."
Blanca turned around and looked at the guys. "Speaking of names, Im Blanca." She layed back in the grass and looked up at the sky. After a bit she looked over at Aylen. "Who are you?"
"Aylen." he said. "Or freakshow, if you want to listen to the villagers." He smiled softly.
"Freakshow? Now why would I call someone that?" She smiled.
"Think," he replied, "A blind man who can still 'see'? Most people can't accept that!" he said. "I don't really care though.
Blanca shrugged. "So? If you can't see, your other senses are enhanced and substitute as your vision right?"
"Possibly, but seeing with your feet? That is no natural sense." He grinned. "They don't know what they miss. I can probably see my environment even better than any other humanoid."
"If you see with your feet, you can't possibly see anything off the ground correct?"
Aylen nodded. "True, and I can't see very well when I'm standing on sand as well. It moves too much. Water doesn't work either."
"That's pretty cool," Nonti commented with a smile, "You might be revered for that down where I'm from, but everywhere not within the city is... Well it's sand. Even the roads are hard packed sand stone," he commented.
"Remind me never to come to your lands," Aylen said with a chuckle.
Blanca smirked. "Maybe we should get you too see while standing on sand? Or even better, a water walker."
"It'd probably be too hot for you anyways," Nomti shrugged and tossed one of his cycles in the air and caught it then put it into it's small hook on his belt all in one swift movement.
"Would either of you mind telling me where I am?"
"Would either of you mind telling me where I am?"
Blanca shrugged. "Honestly, no. I woke up one day and there was just this field here then the next day, there was a city and when I woke today, the field was here again."
"Erryadan. Land of the earth lords." Aylen replied. So you're both telling me you don't know why you're here?
Blanca shook her head and gave him a somewhat blank stare. "I never remember traveling here, all I remember before waking up here is falling. Falling from a high height."
