"I was actually moving away from the village. I was there two days ago, but I made a detour from there so we can still make it by nightfall if we leave now." he replied.

"Well lets get going then," Nomti urged eagerly, "I want to see this floating city, whenever it is that we get to that."

"Me to." She pushed some hair out of her face and looked up at the sky again.

Aylen started off in the direction of the first village. "First, we make our way out of the earthlands. Then we will reach the firelands' first city and from there it will be a two-day march to the floating city."

"Sounds like a plan," Nomti grinned and smiled warmly at Blanca, "I love things like this."

Blanca nodded with a smile. "Maybe I'll figure out what im following soon."

"Allright then." he put away the bow and trotted back to the path, and then towards the next village.

The group would make good speed getting there, and arrived well before nightfall without too much of an incident. "Here we are," Aylen said. "Taynon."

"Quaint," Nomti commented as he looked around.

Blanca looked around and smiled. "Sure is."

"If I was allowed to, this is where I'd like to settle... And start a family," he said with a wan smile.

Blanca looked at Nomti and rolled her eyes with a small laugh.

"What's stopping you?" Aylen asked, curious about the anthro's story.

"Well... I'm not mortal is part of it. I'm a creation, along with my 99 brothers, of Anubis. I am a guardian of the dead, protector of the pharoah's pyramid... Aside from that there are no female Anubites and so far I've never met a human or other wise that would want to have a family with one of my kind..."

"Im sure you'll find some one Nomti." She smiled at him.

"There's plenty Anthro's out there... who knows, eh?" Aylen smiled.

"Being an anthro has nothing to do with it. I'm not allowed," he sighed sadly, looking down at his feet-paws.

"Is there a way to release yourself from the hold between you and your god?"

"No... I am his creation, his servant, the envoy of his will. We Anubites are simply pawns, albeit powerful pawns, but still just pawns for Anubis. We serve as guardians of the dead and of the pharoahs and as the leaders of armies in times of war... In peace though, we are messengers and delegates..." he explained with another sigh.

"I know of a recluse mage who can purge you." Aylen interfered. "We'd need a victim though, as to take over your role. You'd keep your form, but your destinies would be switched." he explained. He then frowned as he said, "However, it's on the other side of the continent, even far outside of the kingdoms of elemental powers."

"Then why don't we go there first? I bet that would make you very happy Nomti." She looked over at him with a warm smile. "It's not every day that you get this opporitunity anyway."
