So, I had this wonderful idea to create a floating farm in Minecraft. Cool, right? It's going well, minus one problem. A shorn sheep can't regrow it's wool without eating grass. At least, I think that's how it works. And I can't really get grass blocks on a floating island without Silk Touch. I think. And I have neither the diamonds, nor patience to fish in order to get the enchantment. Anyone wanna team up to get it? You keep anything you get. I just ask for an enchantment book or enchantment table to get Silk Touch. Plus, we both get free friend to play Minecraft on a PS3 with, since the game doesn't provide an easy way of doing so. My username is ripred65. Please help me!

If you build a stairway of dirt blocks up to your floating farm, the grass should spread as long as the stairway is lit up properly. It takes awhile and you need to have the grass rendered in order for it to update, but you don't need silk touch for it. (It sounds like you play MC on the PS3 so on second thought, this may not work. I don't know the differences between PC and PS3.)

Thanks! I actually had made the staircase out dirt before I knew it would work. Then I return from a mining trip and there's suddenly grass
