Charlotte huffed at Iggy, not sure if the slime-morph was actually hungry, or if she was just putting on a show. "We'll get you some food once we get out of here," she said, and then looked over at Quickclaws. "You're going to be alright," she said. "You don't have to lead the charge. If you stay in the middle of the group, you'll be surrounded by us, and therefore protected from harm. We'll guide you through, don't worry."

((This is the first time I've ever encountered something like this. I'm glad I was able to help the small bit that I did.))

Tevren looked to Charlotte as she spoke of getting Iggy some food, "You may come to regret that offer, Charlotte. Iggy just got done eating a smoked catfish that was a good 3 feet long and as big around as my head. Just saying." he says with a slight shake of his head, turning back to Quickclaws again, "She's right, Quickclaws. As long as we stick together we'll be fine. There's always safety in numbers, and I have a feeling with all of us, we'll be pretty well set." he says reassuringly, encouraging a look around at all the gathered team members.

"Imma eat da house!" Said Iggy and ran inside. A scream of a child could be heard, and Iggy came sliding out on fire. "HEWP ME!" She screamed in pain and agony as her flammable jelly flesh were disintegrating by the fire. She grew smaller and smaller, until she were only a green puddle on the ground, only made up of excess water and dissolved fishbones.

Quickclaws didn't look at the sight of the burning slime. His mind was elsewhere.
"W-well, but what if they have bigger numbers? Or what if they're big enough to theoretically out number us?" Quickclaws spoke, almost hysterically. "Or what if they had an amulet that would duplicate themselves? Or maybe to freeze us in space and time so they could finish us off one by one?!"
With the last point, Quickclaws' wings whipped open as he waved his claws in the air.

Charlotte watched as Iggy bounced off into the darkness, tilting her head at the scream. "What was -" She didn't have time to complete her sentence before the slime came back, glowing brightly as she burned. An acrid stench filled her nostrils, and she realized that she couldn't do anything to save the green thing. She just watched as the slime disappeared, and then turned her attention to Quickclaws. "Hey, hey, calm down," she said, her voice gentle in hopes of not aggravating him further. She took a step toward him, looking him in the eyes. "It's going to be fine, I can assure you. There's no time-bending sorcerers in there." She stretched her neck forward, nuzzling the younger dragon. "It's going to be okay."

Skela stared at the green puddle in the distance in silence. Her jaw was wide open and the torch had fallen on the floor. She stood unblinking at her presumably dead friend and tried to gather her thoughts.

Tevren was surprised at Iggy bolting off into the ruins and triggering a fire trap. Before Tevren could even do anything, Iggy was dead... "Ok... I know from my travels that Slimes are super common... But ouch... Watching Iggy just now really hurt my heart... Guys... Lets do this exploration and see it through to the end... For Iggy." he says as he looks between Skela, Charlotte, and Quickclaws, then to Zulae, "Zulae? Would you like to accompany us? No one here is going to force you, but... It would mean a lot to all of us if you would consider exploring this place with us." he says coaxingly.
