I've started a RP called High-school RP- the academy for villains, but I probably should've done this first. back on the first RP website I used, we had to post an 'interest check' to see if people were actually willing to play, and It basically said what the RP was, and then in a separate thread we would get to work on character sign-ups, suggestions for the story, ETC.

so what I want to know, since this site probably doesn't have that rule, does anybody think this is a good idea for a RP? I don't think there's a forum dedicated to making sure people wanna play, so i'll post it here.

Hiya! If I'm understanding you correctly, that's exactly what the LFRP boards are for. :D You make a thread there (the Find RP tool walks you through it) summarizing what you want to play/run, and others may comment to say they're on board, before the RP begins for real in one of the RP boards/PMs/groups. :)

If you'd like to make a separate thread afterwards to further discuss plot ideas and such I'd encourage you to make a group PM with all the interested players invited, or you could even make a group to have your own entire forum to world build in. :D

I definitely can see people signing up for this, high school and villains are pretty popular. Good luck!

edit: Just in case the title of this board confused you - RP Discussion is intended to be for discussing the RP hobby (eg. "What're your favourite genres?") than discussion of RPs happening on the site, but it's a common mistake for people to use it as that.
