It's the year 2016. A few months ago, a new lifeform was discovered. It wasn't much, just a small virus. It didn't seem like a large danger at first, so scientists all over the world let it go after two months of world-wide excitement.
The virus however, quickly showed the world its true nature as it infected its first victim. Doctors had to watch as his mind went through different stages of insanity. At one point, they even had to restrain the man to prevent him from biting the doctor's throat out. Symptoms were: rough skin, constant and heavy coughing and occasional throwing up. The more these symptoms occured per day, the further advanced the disease was.
New-London, a large city in North england (founded in the beginning of 2012 and quickly built out to a metropolis) has been cut off from the world. The disease originated here, and government officials had quarantined the entire city to prevent the virus from spreading. 16.000 people living in the city have been cut off from their families outside the city, and New-London has shifted from a peaceful, well controlled economical metropolis to a huge urban battlefield. People try to live their lives as best as possible, and there's even a ranking hierarchy now. Lord Berner, the owner of Yoko enterprises, has taken control. He rules with the iron fist as the city crumbles around him. He and his trusted friends live luxurious lives in their office buildings and Villa's, but the people of the city are living in the misery and poverty. This story speaks of their lives, and their daily struggle for survival.
Jayne hid in a dark alley. The goons she'd been running away from had passed her hiding place several minutes ago, but Jayne didn't dare move away from her hiding place yet. She was as scared as could be.
The life of a young girl living alone in a city of despair was a hard life to say at the least. Pepole were going crazy, and not only thanks to the virus. Walls had been erected across the city's edge, fitted with automated machine guns. If any life form crossed the line and neared the wall to a certain distance, they'd automatically open fire. It was only natural people were going crazy in this environment.
Suddenly, the english national anthem sounded in the streets. "Another anouncement...?" sha asked herself.
"Attention, citizens of New-London. Today in exactly one hour from now, a food package will be dropped on the market square. We hope you will enjoy this treat from the governlent!" The national anthem played once more and then the megaphones went silent. Jayne rose. She doubted it was a 'treat', but as long as it was food, she'd take her chance. It would get crowded, but as long as the gangs didn't show up, she'd be glad.";

The food eventually arrived but little did they expect it would mount up on A clock tower hanging from it's parachute. Jaiden watched the hungry crowed form below it with his viper in hand he stepped back a few meters before leaping off the edge of the building he was perched up on slamming Viper into The clock tower able to wedge it into a crack. His yellow hoody and a black face mask with a smiley face drawn on covered his face.
Children and parents watched him in jealousy and anger but also amazement whilst some of the infected had already started to climb up after him.
"THERE IT IS BOYS!" A gang member called out pointing up at the package
"Shit, gotta move..." He said to himself grabbing hold of a ledge. He started to scale Big Ben but some of the members had started taking shots at him.

Jayne arrived at the square seconds after the gang members did. She recognized some of them from chasing her earlier, so she quickly made her way to a shady spot and pulled her hoodie over her head so to remain unrecognized. When she looked up to the tower, her heart sank as she saw the supplies hanging from the tower's top by its parachute. It would probably rip and fall down eventually, but they couldn't wait that long.
She then saw the young masked man climbing up the tower to get to the supplies. her eyes widened. She would never be able to do that - she'd probably freeze halfway and get stuck there. When the bandits started shooting, her fear increased. "Come on..." she muttered. She figured she'd probably grab a box of supplies as soon as it fell, and then run off as fast as she could - before the brawling began.

Even though Jaiden was almost up, the fear of falling or getting shot still scared him. He put his free hand into his hoody pocket and took out a small spherical ball with a steam punk style clock on it. "I was saving this, but..." Flicking a small switch on it and tossing it at the bandits he started scaling once more.
The gang pointed and laughed "Haha, what's a pebble supposed to-" one of the members said but was cut off when he heard a click. Hundreds of nails flew out in all directions killing half the members in the group. When all this happened he was able to get to the package. He slammed viper into the side and made a small hole into the side pulling out some food then putting it into his back pack.
Jaiden kicked down the box sending it crashing into the floor making the food fly everywhere.

Jayne immediately ran for the food as soon as it dropped down. She picked up several pieces of bread and fruit, and managed to get some meat from in front of a gang member. "Why you little..." then a blink of recognition flashed up in his eyes. "You..." It was one of the goons chasing her before. In blind panic, she punched at his face and hit his temple, sending him sprawling and unconscious. "Damn..." she muttered, and immediately ran off again, unwilling to draw any more attention. Looking back, some other goons were allready tending to their fallen comrade. Jayne now saw that she was the only non-bandit who had ran for the food - the civilians had been waiting for the bandits to be finished.
Some bandits cam running for her. "Come here you little runt!" they yelled. She jumped up and climbed onto a ledge of the clock tower with some difficulty.

An infected that had followed Jaiden up had caught up and attacked him but Jaiden's bullet fast reflexes allowed him to dodge his punch but he'd tackled both of them off the ledge he was stood on sending them both flying into a car however Jaiden was able to put the infected first braking his fall "aawh man... That's gunna hurt in the morning..." He groaned slowly pushing himself up then off the car.
One of the bandits lifted him up and punched him in he stomach making him fall back over "thanks for the food" he laughed at Jaiden who groaned in pain with his arm over his stomach.
The gang Member went for him again but Jaiden retaliated by putting Viper straight into the guys head, the blade in his brain after going through his forehead. Jaiden yanked it out and shot the other two gang members for the civilians to get their food first.
He watched the girl with half the mind to run.

Jayne kept climbing, and one bandit started following her up. She was now on the second ledge of the clock tower, and was kicking furiously at the bandit who was continually trying to pull her back down and take her food. She managed to hit his hand, and the man yanked it away in reflex, causing him to fall backwards. His mates caught him, though, and he immediately started climbing again, cursing and even more angry than before.
Jayne's fear rose as she saw the anger in the man's eyes, and in her haste to get higher, she slipped. She fell down the side of the corner - on the other side of a wall from where the bandits were standing. They were now attempting to climb over the wall, and doing so quite succesfully. Jayne had banged her knee pretty hard in the fall, and she had some trouble standing up. When she finallu managed, she started running as best as she could towards Jaiden. "Please, help me!" The first bandits were now coming over the low wall.

From the look in Jaiden's eyes you could see his annoyance "dammit woman!..." He yelled then took up his defensive stance with his pocket knife in his left hand and 'Viper' in the other. The first bandit came at them with a machete in hand and swung for Jaiden's neck but Jaiden stabbed his for arm with his pocket knife then put viper through his forehead. The second ran at him so Jaiden threw the previous bandit at the one running at them impaling them both on a rebar "RUN NOW" he turned and started to run as a horde of infected came at them charging.
Jaiden leaped over obstacles like the wind looking over his shoulder to check if she was okay.

Those corrupted with the virus, called the insane or 'the infected' had been attracted by the huge amount of activity on the clock tower square.
Jayne got to her feet again and ran after Jaiden as fast as her knee allowed her. She was lucky that the infected found the bandits and their food a lot more attractive, and the bandits retaliated, which meant they were forced to break off their chase to get to Jaiden and Jayne. Jayne was thankful that 'it' hadn't happened. She didn't know what it was, but happened everytime her life was in peril. She figured this time she got away well and good.

Jaiden slowed down in an alleyway to catch his breath "you... Are lucky... I never do... That helping... Bullshit" breathing heavily between each word. He checked 'Viper' once over to see if it was ok then leaned against the wall "you got some food?"
Jayne, breathing heavily as well, nodded her approval. "Y-yes. I have some food." she was exhausted from the run and her breathing was ragged. Her knee was slightly better, but it still hurt from the fall. Sounds of fighting could still be heard from the square. Looking back, Jayne could see how the other civilians grew tired and joined in as well, so now it was only a 1 against all struggle for food. She was glad they didn't get caught up in that. Agreed, they'd drawn a lot of attention on themselves, both in their own ways, but at least they had food. A lot of those people on the square won't be able to say the same when the brawl is over.
Back home was his next priority. Jaiden saw a way up to the roof opposite them via double ladder but it seemed to be wedged in it making it unable to get down. Jaiden jumped off the wall opposite the ladder then caught the bottom of the ladder with 'Viper'. The only way she'd be able to get up is she did the same.
Jayne saw Jaiden jump up, and she started panicking when she realized she wouldn't be able to follow, due to the stuck ladder. "H-hey! you're not gonna leave me here, are you?" she asked with a worried tone in her voice. The idea of being alone again was unbearable to her.
Jaiden let out an annoyed sigh "why shouldn't I?"
Jayne didn't know what to say at first. "B-because you don't know what it's like... being a girl, out alone in a city in chaos like this one." she swallowed, and summoned her courage. "You don't have the right... You'll get me killed!"
"Yeah, sure, because I don't live alone" he jumped off the ladder and landed near her again "because I don't fight to survive, in this torn up city there are no rights. Just the will to survive!" he held Viper in his hand tight.
Jayne saw how he held viper, and she grew nervous. She didn't want to hurt him!
She hesitated before she continued her arguments. She didn't want to say this, but she had no choice. "what if I told you that my will to survive kills people"

"Then that's a bigger reason for me to leave you here, besides" he loosened up his grip a little and put his hood down "How do you know i wont kill you?"
"Because you won't be able to. It won't let you do that." she replied, choosing her words carefully.
"I've been through more than you think 'IT' Doesn't scare me" Jaiden replied with a bitter response. He lowered his face mask to reveal his face, he didn't look too old. Around his mid 20s. Jaiden jumped back up to the ladder then tried pry out the rebar.
An infected was able to catch the scent of both of them and drooled as he saw her. Jaiden tried to pull out the rebar harder for her but the infected was halfway down the alley.
Eventually the rebar was pried free and the ladder hit the floor allowing her to get up "Quick Climb up"
