Darkness had fallen over the priorly peaceful Equestria. Ancient monsters of legend have come to terrorize pony-kind. Of course, so far, all have been defeated and dealt with. Yet steadily, the monsters became stronger and stronger. Talk began to cross the land. There was only one being that had caused this before, but she was sealed away eons ago. Fear began to spread that she may have returned.
Bell, a white dark alicorn, paced back and forth in the throne room of her aunts' massive palace. Galaxia and Everina had just returned from dealing with another bady. They had told her that even they fear her mother has returned, fully, this time. Bell was worried, how was se going to deal with this? She was still in training for magic, she wasn't ready for a war.
She gave a sigh, then called for a messenger. She had the pegasus go out and post a bulletin across equestria, that read as followed:
Calling All Heroes!
We call for aid against the impending threat!
All who wish to help report to the Palace of Deities as soon as possible!!!!
When he left, Bell would go sit on a balcony, looking down upon Canterlot as she waited.

Madison found herself out of place in the town of busy ponies, as she wasn't the type who was socially active. Though to the naked eye she seemed just as confident as all the other citizens, she honestly just wanted to survive the day. She wanted as little conflict as possible, but the problem was, most life changing and dangerous things would most likely appear in the town. Madison didn't want to fall victim to one of these things.
The only reason as to why she was there was because she required more resources to last her the week. And sure, many would say that she could attempt to grow her own supplies, but there's only so much you can do with only primary industry goods. This time, she didn't bring items to sell herself, as she had no need for any more bits for the moment.
After a messenger flew by, placed a note and was off once again, Madison was able to spot a crowd attempting to read the message. Curiosity struck as Madison's anxiety of the townsfolk disappeared. As a result, she squeezed into the small mumbling crowd and read the note. Heroes? Impending threat? She thought as she read the note. No wonder the crowd seemed a little on edge. It made complete sense, hearing that heroes should report to the palace to fight an impending threat.
Madison pushed back out of the crowd, considering the note. Although she had retired from her traveling, treasure hunting, and adventuring, it probably wouldn't hurt to help. Who knows, it might just be a cranky dragon. With her mind set on the task, she simply forgot of the main reason why she came to town and reported to the palace gates.

Ms. Witts passed through the town, happily trotting along the way, before noting a crowd. Maybe it was a monster? Or some other mystical, magical thingy? She flew above the crowd and took a look at the flier, before squealing in joy. A reason to see the royals and provide her research to them? Heck yeah! She made her way home, packed a few of her belongings and set off for the palace.
Bell had started pacing as she waited for ponies to arrive. The white alicorn was shy by nature, but she knew she had to push past that for the sake of Equestria. She gave a sigh as one of the royal guards came a reported that there was a pony waiting at the gate. Bell told him to let them in.
As she waited for said pony to walk in, the young princess went and sat in her mother's old throne. It was black with red accents, and toped by what had been her mother's cutie mark before she turned evil. A crimson crescent moon over a black four point star. Bell stared up at the symbol, she had never known the good side of Cynder. She was born after the goddess of death had turned, thus, the short time the young pony spent with her in the dimension of shadows was not pleasant. It only made her that much more grateful that she had been able to escape.

Ms. Witts trotted into the palace, a little nervous, but more excited than anything, before she walked into the throne room, where Bell was sitting. She waved with her wing. "Hi there! Uh... Sorry, I'm blanking on your name. I'm Ms. Witts!" She bowed her head. She was shaking a little, either from anxiety or excitement.
Madison followed the other's lead, walking inside but made no conversation. Once at the throne, she fell into a bow, respecting the queen. Then again, she was unsure if this was that type of queen. Once the Pegasus decided to speak up, a thought popped into her head. Do I even know the name of the queen? She thought sheepishly but made no sign of it. Instead, she arose from her bow once instructed, pokerfaced.
"It's fine, I'm not as well known as my mother or my aunts and uncle."
She said after some hesitation. She would walk over to the other two, acting as if they were equals. In her eyes, they were. Nopony was any better then another. Of course, her mother would be the infamous Cynder Shadows, Kindly goddess of death turned evil. Her aunts were Everina, goddess of life, and Galaxia, goddess of the cosmos. Her Uncle was Arken, the Draconequus god of the Void. He too, had been imprisoned, yet there was no sign of him.
She gave a sigh as she sat before them, motioning for Madison to be at ease.
"I-I'm Bellitudo Shadows."
The young princess said simply, knowing that if they knew of the stories, they would piece it together.
"I.....I assume you came in response of the flier?"

"Yeah! I thought maybe I could give some of my research about monsters to you! This is a monster situation, right?" Witts tilted her head.
"Yep," Replied Madison, relaxing as she got a better grasp on who the pony in front of her. "I'm a freestyle explorer and adventurer. Here to possibly offer my services."
(Sorry for taking so long, spring break and no wifi)
"It is, in a way. There will be monsters, and the information will be needed."
She explained, more confidence in her voice.
"The barrier trapping my mother is weakening, and it's only a matter of time before she escapes."

"And, does that mean there's a bunch of monsters all about Equestria?" Ms. Witts sat down, looking up at the princess.
