hello hello, i've been feeling really good and energized lately and i don't have many roleplays going on right now so i figured i'd post here and try to start some more.
also, just another quick note, if we've roleplayed in the past but i had to drop the roleplay, please don't feel bad if you see this!! i'm really awkward with starting up conversations again after awhile but like,,if you'd still like to roleplay please message me like "hey oliver wanna do some things again" and i'll be more than happy to work something out!! i'm sorry for my awkwardness hfjjfhg
before i get into the plots, here's a quick summary of my rules (but i'd appreciate it if you read the full rules section of my profile, too):

-i write a lot. usually my replies are around five paragraphs minimum. however, please don't feel pressured to match my reply length!! as long as i can work with it, i'm completely fine with shorter responses. just please make it more than like,,3 sentences.
-please don't write in first person or script format, both of these make it harder for me to follow and just personally feel awkward.
-i'm not comfortable roleplaying with anyone under the age of 15.
-i don't do large group roleplays.

CRIME | 3:13 AM (warnings: violence, murder)
characters i could use: i feel like all of them could work for this (including the ones i don't have profiles for on here, feel free to ask about them if you're interested)
the idea: neon lights, always on the run, kinda trashy motels that are eerily vacant, crime crime and more crime. basically, i don't have much of a plot developed for this beyond some Aesthetic Feelings, but: one of our characters kills someone. maybe our characters have a partners in crime type of thing going on, maybe one of our characters is a witness to the murder, who knows. because i don't have much of a plot in mind for this, feel free to message if this gives you any sort of inspiration.

HORROR/FANTASY | The Fair Folk (warnings: body horror)
characters i could use: preferably elliot or avery
the idea: inspired by this post and this post, specifically:
“My eyes? Funny story. I used to think I was crazy because I kept seeing things that weren’t there, but it turns out that I had the sight…’had’ being the key word here. I saw a fairy’s true form and they replaced my eyes with gems/flowers/sea glass/etc.”
"After making a bad deal with a fairy, one part of Character A’s body has been reduced down to just bones. They can thread ribbons around the bones of their hand, or beaded strings through their empty rib cage, or try to cover up their skeletal neck with heavy scarves and clothes, etc."
again, i don't really have a specific plot in mind for this. i just want character A, a human, for whatever reason, to be messed up by the fair folk. maybe they're stuck in the fairy world, maybe they made a bad deal with a fairy and made them angry. who knows. i just love the fair folk shh.
character-specific things:
1. if i'm using avery, i would prefer for him to be the messed up human in this scenario. i kind of love the idea of turning his head into a deer skull and he has to Deal With That, but the two above about the eyes/the bones are also interesting.
2. if i'm using elliot, i would prefer for him to be the fairy. i don't really have any ideas beyond this. he's just cruel and weird and yknow. a fairy.

i'm craving a partners in crime roleplay where i use jamison. it doesn't have to be romantic but i'm a sucker for bonnie and clyde type plots. also, jamison is tailored to fit historical universes but i don't really care if it's modern, i'm just used to playing him in historical settings.

honestly i love ghosts and i would love to do a roleplay where both of our characters are ghosts and maybe have to help each other pass on, or something? another thing that would be fun is if one of the characters finally passed on and the other was stuck being a ghost :^) idk i honestly don't have a lot of ideas for this but i feel like there's a lot that can be done with it.

(Closed) SCI-FI | Ringing
characters i could use: again, most of them. preferably the ones i already have here on RPR.
the idea: based off a story i started writing sophomore year. all of the details with this can be changed and worked out but, basically, aliens. character A has been experiencing a lot of weird stuff, including, but not limited to: weird dreams that feel more like memories, phantom white noise, terrible migraines, a new weird scar on the side of their head, etc etc. they meet character B, who's been dealing with the same exact thing. they have the same scar in the same place as character A. turns out they were both abducted by aliens and had a chip implanted in their heads, but who knows what the motive is. maybe it's just to track humans and study them. maybe the real reason is far more sinister. either way, they could meet more people who also have the chips and they all mysteriously die out of nowhere (chip malfunctions). maybe the chip causes weird hallucinations. idk, i'm flexible with this idea and i would be really hyped to roleplay it.

basically, exactly that. character A, for whatever reason, is in this small coastal town researching all of these mysterious cases. maybe character B is a local that kinda has a clue and decides to work with character A, maybe they're one of the first/only victims to speak again, maybe there's some fish-related body horror thrown in. i'm down for any of this tbh.

the idea: basically my boy jasper here loves cryptids, ghosts, aliens, anything unexplainable and weird. especially mothman. the ideas are either:
1). your character and jasper meet up, become friends, find out they both like good ol creepy stuff and decide to take a road trip across the united states to Infamous Cryptid Locations, or
2). jasper and your character go on their own cryptid hunting expeditions but meet somewhere and decide to join up.
basically, just a cute friendship thing ft. cryptids. i think a romance subplot would be fun with this idea too, but we could leave that out if you'd rather not.

-i get an excuse to read about cryptids obsessively
-i get to use jasper

-absolutely nothing

I love all of the plots, and it can think of tons of characters that could work for it, but the two favourites I gotta admit are the crime one, 3:13 AM and the Sci-Fi one, Ringing.
They both seem awesome, and I could offer a few brief character introductions over a PM if I catch your interest, because I have a few specific characters that I think could work really well with those two.
But, if you have a plot you desperately want to try, I'd be soooo game!! As long as there's an awesome RP, right!
