"Oh I actually live here with my brother and my girlfriend. We've been living in this city for a couple years now. We all live together on the other side of town. I actually just got back from a .. business trip and I am looking for my brother and my girl because they weren't home." Mark looks around a little anxiously. He hasn't been here for a month. He did leave for a business trip, but a job business trip.
"I see..." Jaye trailed off.
She was right to assume he was living here, and other demons as well. She looked at him, at his true demon form, and wondered why he hadn't brought up the topic of them being of the same race. Perhaps he simply didn't mention it due to the masses of humans crowding us in the streets. Looking around at them, she had then realised she and Mark were blocking the way of others, as they were standing smack in the middle of the street.
Her eyes looked back at him, and she pointed behind her at a nearby coffee shop. "Would you like to join me? I was just going for a warm drink." If he agreed to come with her, perhaps she could bring up the topic of them being demons.

Mark looks behind him in the direction she was posting at to see the coffee shop. He thinks about his girl and his brother. "I sure do love coffee." He trails off almost as if he was debating to say yes. "My brother and girl don't know I'm back yet so why not." Mark turns around to the coffee shop and starts walking to it.
Jaye followed suit, entering the coffee shop. Her gaze scanned the area, and a small smile of satisfaction appeared on her pink lips as she found the place to be near empty. This coffee shop was her favourite one in the city so far, having come here on her first day in the human world. However, she had found that this place got really crowded and rowdy once it was packed.
She walked towards the counter, bringing her purse out of her bag and taking out a $10 bill. She turned and looked towards Mark. "What would you like? I'll pay." She figured she should at least be nice, since she brought him to this coffee shop to ask questions, and not just about them being demons.

"What kind of man would I be to let the lady pay?" He asks Jaye trying to convince her to not pay. What gentleman lets a girl pay? He didn't leave his wallet at home. He could take care of this. "I got this. Excuse me. I would like a frozen mocha with an extra shot of chocolate and the beautiful lady would like.." He looks at Jaye waiting for her answer.
A small chuckle of amusement escaped Jaye's lips as she watched Mark pay and order their beverages. "A hot chocolate." She stated, finishing the man's trailed off sentence. Jaye was no fan of coffee, much to many people's surprise. It was simply too bitter for her, and she found that hot chocolate was a much better alternative to the unsweetened drink.
((I didn't say he paid don't put words in my mouth I was gonna steal it))
"Excellent choice." With the money already paid (( )) Mark hands Jaye her hot chocolate and takes his froze mocha. He leads Jaye to a table in the car corner and sits. "Not much of a warm coffee demo-I mean person myself." Mark tries to spark a conversation.

(( 0-0 Sorrry. ))
Jaye gave a knowing smile, taking a seat across him. "You don't have to pretend now, my fellow demon friend." Jaye raised her cup of hot chocolate to her lips, taking a long sip while staring at him from across the table, her left eyebrow raised. She hadn't whispered the word 'demon', knowing that no one was around to hear them.

(( its fine))
"Whoa whoa whoa. You think just cause we are out for hot chocolate and coffee makes us friends? Maybe you're not from the same kingdom as me." He tilts his head a little trying to figure out where she is from. "Do you work for the devil yourself like me?" He asks as he picks up his frozen mocha and takes a nice long sip from the straw without moving his eyes off of hers.

The doorbell to the door ringed as a girl with a lab coat arrived to the coffee shop. She was carrying her laptop bag and a small stack of paper in a folder. "One ice coffee..and that please" she said as she pointed to one of the sweets. The cashier ringed up her order and she paid in cash. She took her food before sitting at one of the tables, back to working on her computer and the likes. From the looks she has long black hair, tied into a ponytail. Her eyes are heterochromia. One is blue and one is brown. She seemed busy into her papers...perhaps research?
Jaye scoffed. "I was being sarcastic." She leaned forward, crossing her legs and resting her elbows on the table, her steaming hot chocolate held in one hand. "I have no idea what kingdom you are from, but I come from Kaeveth. And, my father works as the right hand of the devil. My entire family works for the demon king," She took another sip, her eyes not leaving his. "But I don't."
Daemyxih walked past the coffee shop, taking particular notice that it was popular with the other demons. She continued past, making her way down the street. She tied her long blonde hair up into a ponytail despite the somewhat chilly weather. She donned a long black coat with deep blue jeans and a pair of heeled black boots that clicked on the pavement as she walked.
"Hmm.. I personally work for the Demon King as well. How come you choose to skip family time and not work for our master?" He looks over at the girl in a lab coat. Unable to discover who she is. Not an angel or a demon. Maybe just a plan human, but he's never seen anyone in the city in a lab coat. He shakes his head slightly and pays more attention to Jaye.
Another scoff escaped her lips, and Jaye lightly shook her head, as if remembering a memory. "You should meet my family. Then, you'll understand." Her eyes followed Mark's, spotting the girl a few tables away from theirs. Jaye's eyes immediately spot the girl's different coloured eyes. Interesting... She cocked her head sideways the slightest bit, thinking. The girl with the different eyes was definitely not demon nor angel, or any other species Jaye could think of. Was she just human? Jaye shook her head and simply brushed the question off, raising her cup and sipping her now lukewarm drink.
"This isn't gonna be random guy meets girl's family." He humors the conversations sensing the awkwardness and also just being the flirtatious boy he is. "Makes you feel better my family isn't easy either. Parents kicked my twin and I out at the age of thirteen and we were on our own since. Then my brother and I were killed at a bar on our twenty first birthday. Since that we woke up in a realm and were forced to work for the king himself." He explains just a enough to not give away his whole life story. He looks back over at the girl. Some reason she just gives him a weird vibe.
"I didn't asked for your life story, but..." Jaye took a small sip of her drink, debating what to say next. "I am sorry for your predicament. It must be hard working for the king, especially if it wasn't your choice to make."
(( I'll be back in a few. I'm just going to have my dinner, I'm starving ))
(( I'll be back in a few. I'm just going to have my dinner, I'm starving ))
(( Aaand, I'm back, if anyone else is online. ))
((sorry I had to go too unexpected 2:30 pick up ))
"I didn't tell you my life story. I told you a bit about myself. I don't mind it personally. Without the king I wouldn't have met my girl." Mark admits as he takes another sip.

((ok i am so lost....you guys just started out of nowhere and left me behind))
((sorry just throw in your character. We're at a coffee shop so just walk in order a coffee or something and do shit.))
