I was playing on Role Players Guild and the site died and then i was told about RPR. The rest is history.

I was looking for some threads and info about tabletop RPGs and this site caught my attention. I bookmarked it and two weeks later, after my RPG game on Roll20 went belly up, I registered here, hoping to fill that void (not very successfully). I am spending time here since then.
See, before I got a laptop I used my 3DS for most things on the internet. I found out about the Miiverse app on there and dove straight into the very large RP community there. I made a friend on there, Animelover17, and we roleplayed a lot aha. Blahblahblah, eventually Miiverse introduced this stupid thing and everyone panicked and were angry, blahblahblah. Soon Anime mentioned the RPR and moving there, and so here I am. The lovable dragon person no one wanted.
Before I joined RP forums, I had only one bestie that I loved to RP with. She always had exciting responses and she and I always plotted out the RP in detail, kept things realistic, and we had an understanding view on Mary Sues and over-used tropes. Our role plays were always unique and super fun, but the problem is, my friend always takes ginormous pauses. Weeks to months worth of a pause. She always shifts in mood, and has this phase thing where she is either productive in drawing, video gaming, or just simply lazy to write a response. I would be patient, but now she has offered that I should go on some forum to RP with people - being the ambivert that I am.
So, emerging out from my comfort zone once more, I went to search for Rp forums. I stumbled upon RPR as it was one of those sites where I enjoy the aesthetic and the small, niche community in it of passionate, like-minded role-players. I understood the site and its mechanics quickly and got into the community. So far I like it, but I'm being careful about my role-players. There are still those people out there who leave an RP out for a pause like my friend does, or they simply decide to discontinue it the second I post a reply and they don't tell me so, which saddens me more. I'm here to role-play, but not just to do any role-play, I want to get my writing skills better and at a higher level while also developing my characters further. I'm not asking for a role-play that never ends, but I'm also not asking for someone to play with me and then give me up just as fast without telling me. Eh, I guess it's the pros and cons of finding an RP site for the first time?

I found rpr through a close friend of mine, open to things.
My old favorite rp site was rpg, it shut down due to law suits and bad management but rpr has been a good substitute, I've really enjoyed it here.
