Hey all.

So I want to start weirdly enough by saying that I really am not a poetry fan. I don't really understand most poems, I don't particularly like them. But... one night some time ago, I wrote one, and I recently found it again, and wanted to see what anyone that might read it thought about it.

Anyway... here is it. Hope you enjoy :)

The Dance Of The Warrior

Cool calm rage, adrenaline runs,
War cries heard, the battle's begun,
Steel on steel, the heart it pounds,
Weapons and bodies litter the ground,
An enemy comes, an enemy dies,
What does he fight for? Truth or lies?
To his people he stands, a hero for all,
But to enemies, a tyrant, that must fall,
Rumors travel, far and wide,
Of good, of bad, a truth, a lie
But his life is not, as others do see
Merely a man, he fights to be free
To be free of revenge is what he had sought
But cannot remember the battles he's fought
An older man now, vengeance gained but not gone
A tired man now, but he must carry on
On he travels, with those he calls friends
Together they stand, 'til death is their end
Fighting, and killing, more blood on his hands
Feeling more like a monster, and less like a man
He feels nothing now, his feelings are dead
He falls from his bloodloss, the ground as his bed
A day or so passes, his body is found
His people mourn the warrior downed
The war is now over, and peace now begins
Neither side won, both backed down to win
A pointless war, where many were felled
Would the peace last? Time would tell
Now bards tell the story, near and far
The title, The Dance of the Warrior
Dude this is actually pretty cool!
